Don't worry Stern won't let that happen

Russilo (this guy knows his basketball) went over the Synergy tapes of Valanciunas, Kanter, and Vesely.
He seems pretty high on Kanter and Vesely, but he was really down on Val.
Says that he's lost on defense, and that he literally has one move on offense, P&R and rolls towards the basket. He doesn't see why draftexpress is so high on him.

I'm sure BC and Co. will scout Val well and pick up on this if true. What are the odds that the Raps would draft a big who was hopeless on defence? I'm sure they learned their lesson after Hoffa ... .. and CV ... and Bargs ... and Jawai ... and Alabi.

^I used to think D. Rose was brain-damaged based on his interviews (and the Memphis scandal).

This draft is going to be loaded with tweeners without a position in the NBA; perfect year to tank for draft position.

Everytime D. Rose talks, all I keep hearing is ba ba ba. He looks autistic too.

So the draft thread has turned into us immaturely making fun of people because they may have been born with a speech impediment that they have no control over? Just checking.

Gilchrist: it's a war out there, I HATE to lose.

Draft this guy, he's the exact opposite of Bargnani.

Love Gilchrist's attitude, I can live with the speech impediment. He actually talks about defence as well. Although I haven't seen much of him, how's his defence?

May be a good idea to tank another year :D
http://www.nbadraft.net/players/michael-gilchrist
Strengths: Has been at or near the top of his class rankings since his freshman season ... A hard working kid who gets excellent reviews for his character and desire ... Should continue to improve thanks to his strong work ethic ... Relentless defender that has the ability to defend 1-5 at a high school level and 1-4 at the college level ... Equally as good off the ball and in passing lanes ... Excellent defender that understands that defense is about attitude and desire

I don't think he's trying to do anything. The guy is just nervous since he's still in high school so I doubt he gets interviewed all that much.

Been on the Gilchrist wagon from the start, about time people start noticing him.

His defense is routinely above average, but when he decides to take it up a notch; game changing.

Yeah that interview was weird. He either has a speech impediment or he was just high.
