indy selected Reggie Jackson

Just to summarize the Indy draft since I was not around to comment on my selections

At #9 the Pacers were ecstatic to select the best player in the NCAA tournament this past season…

Kemba Walker, is one of the most talented scorers in this draft class. He has been compared to Monte Ellis and Derrick Rose (I personally think more Monte). I would have been willing to trade up to 3rd to select him, so I am thrilled that he was here for me to select!

23.5 Pts, 5.4 Rebs, 4.5 Asts and leader of a National Championship winning team at 20 years old is exactly what I wanted.

Overall: Walker is a fast as they come, and with his aggressive style and ability to blow by practically anyone, he has potential to be a quality point guard ... He will need to learn to let the game come to him better, and his size might scare off some GMs ... His pull-up game, quickness and playmaking ability however can make him into an effective player, regardless of his size ...

At # 14 I got another guy that has been flying up the mock rankings and a player I think will defiantly be a top 10 pick come June and that is Tristan Thompson from Texas

A long athletic defensive forward with a 7’2 wingspan that averaged 13 pts and 8 reb with 2.5 blocks and shot 54% from the field as a freshman is ideal for my team anyday (with only 7.3 attempts per game)

At # 21 we selected a BIG that we really like in Jordan Williams from Maryland. He has an NBA ready body and I love the Carlos Boozer comparisons. As a sophomore he averaged 17 points and 12 reb (with 1.5 blocks) on 54% shooting. He can play both the 4 and 5.

At # 29 we get one of the biggest sleepers in the draft and a guy that is skyrocketing up draft boards (I believe Chris Ford has him # 19). Some scouts believe he could slip into the lottery. This 6’3 ( 7’1 wingspan) guard as the skills nba scouts love. He has height and even more length to be able to guard 3 positions while having PG skills. He basically is Russell Westbrook/Rajon Rondo with a jump shot. This 21 year old junior averaged 18.2 ppg, 4.5 assts, 4.3 reb and shot 50.3 % from the field (42% from 3 on 5 attempts a game)

Dallas would also like to elaborate a bit on the great luck we had in the draft.

With the sixth pick in the draft we added a guy that is a lock for top 5 this year in Jonas Valancianus, and with exception to Kanter, is really the only challenger to Derrik Williams and Kyrie Irving for the top spot in the draft. He's got a frame that is ready to add a ton of weight, he's a seven footer with mobility and has dominated at EVERY level of European play, including the best. Put simply, Jonas is the best European prospect in recent memory.

Moving on, with the 26th pick in the draft Dallas added Josh Selby, who at the beginning of the season was very much in the discussion to be a high lottery pick. He had a bad year in a system that did not suite his skills, but with his tremendous potential and skill he should shoot up draft boards come June.

With the 28th pick we added the steal of the draft in JaJuan Johnson. He is built to be a force on offense and defense, he is by far the best center in the NCAA and should be in the same discussion as Jared Sullinger for top big in the land. He's got great length and strength, a good motor, a variety of scoring moves and is the best defensive post in college basketball.

Finally, with the 31st pick we added another highly underrate player in Nikola Vucevic. He's an inside out 17-10 player in college, he's only 20, he's 6-10, has great instincts around the hoop and plays nice defense. Vucevic should surprise a lot of people when his name is in the discussion for the all-rookie teams this coming season.

Utah picks Trey Thompkins

-maybe everyone should send in lists so that the picks can just be auto-picked and finished so that the draft can be completed before the end of the game.
