Exact same could be said about Terrence. Is he a 3 or 4? No one really knows.

Ya... I guess that's all we really have to go on. I'm not sold I would think top three means potential impact player I just don't see Enes as that guy. 5 yrs from now what type of player is he going to be if everything works out to a Tee. 12pts, 8rebs, 1.3blks? Not terrible but not exactly the best ceiling either.

I think what people want in a C is a guy who can defend his position and also impose his will at the offensive end. While I believe Enes may be able to score at a moderate clip I'm not sure he's going to be the type of defender most of us want him to be.

I'm not gonna lie everyday I just hope and pray we somehow move into the top 2 there are no questions there at all... Enes looks like he has a nice frame but I'm not sure if he's ugly enough to mix it up with some of the guys he'll be forced to do battle with.

Aren't those Marc Gasol-type numbers? And people here want to throw $10+ mil at him.

That's the ceiling to me and BTW I don't want Marc at that number! He's almost as overrated as Gortat on this board.

Gasol is also a very good post defender as well, something that Kanter might not be.

Gortat is overrated. I actually like Marc. Plays good D. Crashes the boards and gets blocks. IMO Marc's downside is his offensive game. Other than that I like him. If Kanter could average around 15pts 8rebs. 1.3 blks. I'd be stoked. I think we'd have a solid player.

Ok, well if you're looking at him as a PF, I don't see him possibly being better than Ed Davis. I mean 100% don't see that. And I kinda think Kanter is going to be a tweener on D, too short/groundbound to guard C's and too slow to guard a lot of PFs.

Davis isn't quick neither, and you never know how much he can bulk up as well.
Sorry to say, Kanter is a better prospect than Davis at the moment. The range, post moves, passing and etc, and my problem is, neither of them got an explosive first step. If you have Val and Davis, I can accept it, but Kanter and Davis? I think we need more from the wing spots then.

I have no interest in Kanter as a PF, too bulky with the down-low game of a C on both ends.

He and Davis would actually make a very nice frontcourt on both sides of the ball if they can maintain/improve on their current games.

As I said before neither Kanter nor Davis is quick enough to guard perimeter bigs.
Kanter and Amir is a much better fit, where one is extremely mobile, the other one is extremely big.

So Kanter (assuming his legit C measurements again), Amir. Davis would be a fine rotation of front court players, capable of being rotated in and out depending on matchups.

The groupthink going on here in regards to Kanter is kinda pathetic. He's skilled, and he's almost guaranteed to be a top 10 pick because this is a weak draft, but he isn't the second coming. The kid is Kosta Koufos version 2.0. I saw a lot of Koufos in high school and at Ohio State (I live in Ohio) and everything Kanter does, Koufos did. I think Kanter has slightly better post moves and Koufos is a little more athletic but they're very similar. Koufos is actually a legit 7' and isn't getting time. Height does not = a good player. The kid will be riding the pine in 4 years because the NBA game is so much faster than any game he has ever played in.

He sees himself as a forward. Doesn't that raise red flags for any of you? He does not want to play in the post. He isn't athletic enough to play post. Can you see him defending D12 or Bynum? Yikes.

He didn't say he doesn't want to play in the post he said he wanted to expand his game. Can you see 90 percent of the league guarding bynum or howard? Yikes.

You just made up a story about him not wanting to play in the post. He has never said that and if you watch him play 90% of the time he's in the post.

At 260 lbs and being built like a brick **** house I actually think he could put up a decent fight in the post against those guys.

No. He simply said he would like to show off his perimeter skills.

Yep, and we need to have better players at the PG and SF spot as we reduced our offensive output from our bigs.

To be honest, any true center rotating with Amir/Ed would be good at this point. This team really lacks interior presence. Ajinca and Alabi would have looked decent if they had regular playing time. That's how bad it is.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

The only way to make those two look good is with sliders way up.

Wow, its not true from the stats point of view. Can't believe you said that, Ajinca and Alabi don't know how to play man defense, and got abused easily. They jump on pump fakes, didn't position right against post player. And saying Ed Davis is good man defender is just biased. He got owned by Bosh (not the case for Amir nor Bargnani), got owned by Bogut. He is good for help defense, but he still has a lot to learn and need to bulk up.

I didn't say Ed was a good man defender, he actually looks a little slow guarding the ball. But yes I believe if Ajinca or Alabi played regular minutes on this team they would have looked decent. It's not a compliment to them, this team lacks size badly on the inside you can throw any scrub center in the mix and it would make a difference. And no, Bargs isn't a center.
