He's doing the right thing anyways, smart decision.

DeMar was also hiding the fact that he wasn't much of a player. It made more sense for him because he was basically an athlete with a bit of a promising jump shot, but he really didn't have much else to his game. Of course he would look bad in a workout setting. Kanter is the most skilled big man at the top of the draft with maybe the exception of Motiejunas. He should look good in a workout setting, and, like I said, unlike every other prospect in the draft, he hasn't played a game this year. This seems like it's a similar scenario, but it really isn't.

Like I said before, I'm not going to say he won't be a good player because he's afraid to compete, but I prefer it when they do. And considering there are other guys who I think have as much potential as him I'm fine passing.

I think it will hurt him more than help him, but it's still safer.

So should we pick Brandon Knight now?

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

You know what, I'm beginning to warm up to the idea of Brandon Knight being our pick, in the 3rd-to-5th range.

No Brandon Knight. Wait until next year and get Kabongo. He's not projected number 1 and could be a sleeper.

100% grab Knight this year if we're not in the top two. He has a chance to be an elite player in this league. Plus he has the size and length to match up with the bigger point guards we've been seeing recently (D-Will, Rose, Russell, Wall, etc).

The only real knocks on Knight are turnovers and shot selection. These are easily correctable things as long as he's in the right setting (which is why we'd need to find a replacement for Triano). Knight already has an excellent jumpshot which extends out to the NBA 3-Point Line, and can finish well around the basket. Additionally, he's very athletic and has good court vision but sometimes tries to force the issue with his passing.

Number 1, as in the first overall pick, or number one as in the round?

If your refering to the pick, than that's not true. He's projected to go in the lottery.

number one overall pick. Rivers and Gilchrist will likely be ahead. Along with a few other prospects.

Oh okay, wasn't sure.

In that case, yes you're correct.

100% avoid Knight if we`re not in top two and use our pick on either Kanter or ...heck, even BB. I rather have Bayless than another combo guard that plays this recklessly.

I'm intrigued by Vasely. Of course that's if we end up getting the 5th pick.

Just last year kings went into the lottery with the 3rd pick and ended up with 5th pick, i hope we don`t get the 5th, nor the 6th and 4th.

I'm excited to watch videos like this...

Hopefully we'll get the chance to see a lot of these guys getting pushed. I'd love to hear about players distinguishing themselves with impressive workouts.

No wonder y Holliday dropped this hard in the draft he looked unspectacular in the workout. Man, I bet Ray Allen could easily kill the shooting workout

I don't know if he actually dropped. He was all over the map during his freshman year and it was a big risk for him to come out. I think at one point he was rumoured to go to the Kings (I think they picked 4th that year), but that was kind of a fleeting rumour. He was the guy that I was lobbying to take, and I think he was definitely in the running at our selection. After that, though, he just sort of ended up near where he was originally pegged to go when he first declared.

He definitely developed faster than anyone thought, I recall a lot of experts thought he was going to be a down-the-road type player. Not a starter on a playoff team by Year 2.

I would just avoid the whole Euros bigs mess and take Brandon Knight, Terrence Jones, Reggie Jackson, or Tristan Thompson in that order after Irving/Williams. All have NBA bodies and can ball, making them likely sure things to make it in the NBA while simaltaneously giving them all-star upside.

I'm with Mufasa on this. All the bigs really scare me in this draft so I'd rather go the draft on potential route and draft a guy who actually has a chance of being a star down the road. We should try to trade for a proven big man instead of drafting someone unproven.

Which proven big man would you suggest we try trading the pick for?
