Some people just love to rip other's opinions. Even if it's way out there I would never do it badly (like on another forum when someone suggested the Jazz trade Derrick Favors for the 10th pick in this draft), but when things are in the realm of possibility I just don't understand it.

I see trade proposals get ripped a lot more though. Every trade anyone suggests has one team getting absolutely killed in it, at least according to that person, where that person then makes the proclamation that the suggester is the biggest idiot known to man for having the audacity to throw something out there.

The Kings are looking at Marcus Morris with the 5th pick and the Pistons are looking at Markieff at the 7th pick according to Chad Ford.

As much as I love Kansas and the Morris teams I'll be disgusted if the Kings take Marcus Morris with the 5th pick if that's where they end up.

Say what?? The Kings could trade down outside the top-8 and still get Morris! Picking Morris at #5 is a reach imo.

I don't think the Morrisi top 7 is too big a reach, but Sac and Det are weird fits, a defender/rebounder PF like Tristan Thompson is a better fit beside Cousins and Monroe if they're staying at C, IMO. They don't really need scoring perimeter PFs... I think a team like Milwukee or Charlotte are better fits for Marcus Morris at least...
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

The fifth pick for Marcus Morris is too high, tweener forwards like he is never contribute anything to good teams. I wouldn't pick him in the top 20.

Lamar Odom, Shawn Marion, Jeff Green, James Posey, Kevin Durant (he was viewed as a tweener at the time of draft), Josh Smith, Rashard Lewis, Hedo Turkoglu, Andrei Kirilenko...

I don't believe Ford about the whole "Morris can go high as 5th!" idea. The Kings organization are one of, maybe two or three teams, that do NOT release ANY information about their potential draft selections this early in the draft phase AT ALL. Geoff Petrie is as tight-lipped as they come.

Ford is full of himself again.

He is in the tweener forward mold of Ryan Gomes and Jeff Green and those guys just suck. He's going to be an inefficient scorer who can't defend a chair and those are worthless in the NBA. The only tweener forwards that succeed are guys that are skinny at draft time and play SF because of that and then grow into becoming PFs.

The Morris' are rising, specifically Marcus, but I'd be shocked if either went as high as Ford is saying.

Do you think that Jimmer merits being taken at 12, or do you think the Utah connection will cause him to go earlier than he should?

A little of both. I don't think he is a top 12 player in this draft, but he is not far off that either. I think his ties to Utah helps and I think Utah could use what he brings. Seems like a good fit all around. A lot will depend what Utah does with that first pick.

I think Indy is a place Jimmer could end up as well. They could use a backup PG/SG who can shoot. If they grab a guy like West or Nene in free agency, then Jimmer would fill their biggest need.

I could see Tobias Harris taken higher than #25.

Isn't that what AJ Price does for them?

Vesely & Biyombo exchanged positions with each other. Last mock, Biyombo was #4 and Vesely was #6. This mock has them differently. What's the deal with that? The hype of Biyombo has waned?

And Corey Joseph has entered your mock for the first time @ 32nd pick.
