Madden 12 (some overall ratings released)

EA has been posting blogs about new features for this game, and in the franchise mode screen shots it showed the ratings of some Packers..

Rodgers 99
Collins 94
Jennings 93
Matthews 93
Woodson 93
Sitton 92
Tramon 92
Jenkins 91

That's a link to the screens, they have some ratings for other teams as well.

Also in EA's blog they talked about new features for franchise mode (FINALLY) including expanded rosters and NFL Head Coach type free agent bidding.

Who does Clay Matthews have to blow to get higher than 93??? Seriously? I bet Jared Allen is still a 99 too.

According to this he's on the same level as John Abraham.

At least Arodge is finally getting some love

Will not be buying for 2nd straight year. Game is so flawed and until they get some legit competition it'll never change.

It was horrendous last year. Worst Madden that I've ever played by far.

This year's version can't be that much worse, can it?

2011 was the first Madden I didn't buy since about 2003. The demo was awful, and they really seemed to dumb the game down. I'm not too optimistic about the new one...

I was gonna pass on Madden this year just like the Show until I found out they were updating franchise. It's really all I ever play in sports games.

They totally re-did the franchise mode. Incorporating a ton of things from NFL Head Coach.

Finally. I have been waiting for them to upgrade Franchise mode for years. Looks like I'll be suckered into buying Madden again this fall.

Umm, the Madden franchise mode, even with these improvements, is still behind NFL 2K5's and, hell, even the last-gen Maddens. Getting amped about the Madden 'improvements' is like getting amped about being given a spoon and a fork to eat spaghetti with.

Ways to improve Madden:

Miscellaneous:

- do the garage band technology and let me add my own music. The black eyed peas blaring every ten seconds is a reason for me to turn the game off.

Gameplay:

- Fix the blocking. A double team should not be so difficult to figure out.

Superstar:
- more drills at the combine other than 40 yard dash, bench press, and the positional drills. Add cone drills, High and Long jumps, directional changing drills, etc.

- add an interview process where you're quizzed on different schemes. The wonderlic thing they have is too accurate/easy. If I ever play as a QB I always get 100% smart QB.

- add a weight room portion to figure out pure athleticism. Squats, Olympics, etc.

Franchise:

- The stuff they added

- Character value, if a guy is a low character guy he can be arrested and suspended for up to a season.

There's probably more but I'm tired. I'll add more when/if I think of them.

Franchise mode improvements are nice but I go TT mode anyways, only through the draft.

Got the early release full version this morning. Franchise mode is mega awesome. Though I still hate the way you scout rookies and cant see the reports during draft time. The free agent bidding got really stupid too. Otherwise some nice changes.
