Clearly you don't understand what it is to be a leader.

If Andrea made 90% of his shots, which based on the talent we have seen him display I think we can all agree on is certainly possible, but think how his teammate would suffer.

How demoralized would Amir, Davis, and Reggie be if there was no Oboards for them to grab?

You have to keep your team involved, you need to keep them feeling useful on the floor,

You call it "chucking"
I call it the action which will define what leadership is from this moment onward.

Are you on crack? For realllll man i'm serious. 90%? Tell me that was a typo please or i'm going to have to stop typing.

But as 1 time raptor great Mike James have said,
"You miss 100% of the shot that you don't take".
So logically and hypothetically, you make 100% of the shots that you take.
90% seems realistic, counting in the differential of wind resistance and glare of stadium lights

Yeah...
You are correct,

I am selling Bargnani a little bit short,
Frankly I am surprised a stats guy hasn't hammered me for it yet.

Its closer to 95%

Before Boris comes in here and smacks me down insisting its higher with all his charts and metrics to back it up,

We have to be realistic, the odd shot will be missed,

Some sort of airflow issue in the building slightly changing the projection of the ball, the odd quadruple team throwing off Andrea because he is used to being guarded by all five opposing players slightly adjusting the shot, and of course lets not forget the odd mid-court buzzer beater.

He was only 80% on those all season.

Thanks for the input. You don't even have stats to back up your claim. I haven't seen SuperSub in here for a while, but with his statistical work he can prove that Donatas and Bargnani are the bigs of the future. Duncan and Robinson got nothing on em.

You know how Howard was going to Ewing and Hakeem to learn the game? I can guarantee you he'll work with Donatas or Andrea in the offseason.

And Orignal Baller, by taking jumpshots and threes, players are less prone to career ending injuries. That's how Amare keeps **** up his knee. He won't last in the league. Blake is headed the same path unless he learns from this evolution.

You kill two birds with stone by staying healthy for the rest of your life, and earning multiple championships from this new style in the NBA game.

Donatas will be the new NBA Iron Man, and Bargnani will be just under him.

If we get Donatas we should trade Amir and Ed, in fact trade all the bigs except for Bargs and Dontas. We'll have the best front-court in the NBA, defenses won't have a clue how to guard us.

In terms of defense, that isn't important anyways. The point of the game is to score more than the other team, and with another 3 point shooter we'll be sure to win more games.

The_Original_Baller you need to get with the times. Two 3-point shooting bigs is the shiet.

Is Kapono's contract expiring in July? He'd be a nice pickup for this squad.

But really people, we shouldn't hype this bandwagon up too much.
We are setting ourselves up for disappointment.
We all know the only way to get him is to trade up to the #1 pick .

The reason there will be a lockout is for teams to figure out how to stop Bargnani + Motiejunas combo.

I doubt that he goes top-2, but I'm very worried that Utah will nab him. Amir + #5 for #3 and take Motie? If anyone agrees, I made a sig you can wear:

Just a thought, maybe Utah would be willing to do something involving Mehmet Okur and their #3 pick.

Say Derozan, Ed Davis, our #5

for

Mehmet Okur and their #3.

While there is the chance we land Donatas at the #5, truth is he is owed being picked at the # 3 spot. If I believed there was something we could work out with Minni for their #2 pick, I would do that and draft Donatas there.

But back to my main thought. Donatas, Bargs, Okur, 3 - 7ftrs spreading the floor. Our guards could live in the paint with the room that would create. We would have a field day working that ball outside in.

That's what I suspect as well.
Stern is just too proud to admit it.

It seems almost unfair to the rest of the league that it will only take a single draft pick to secure a talent like this;

You would almost think we would need to draft 1st and 2nd to get Motiejunas.

that would not be enough, i suspect our future first unprotected 2012 pick would have to be invovled and an unprotected pick in 2014

I see this thread has taken off without me, and epically might I add! Original Baller keeps talking about defense, umm...hello! Andrea's man to man defense is probably top in the league! when have you ever seen him get dunked on? Never! Davis and Amir do. All that matters is man to man defense, because we all know the game isn't dynamic enough for switches or things to break down. It's all straight up guard your own person.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.
