Yup, and I think he'd do well there, almost like what Bibby did for Webber back in the glory days in SAC.

He's going to be an athletic guy who cuts and finishes fastbreaks offensively and who's primary help is probably defensive due to his athleticism and length at the SF. I see 12 and 6 with defense and a usable player. I wouldn't take him #5. But I wouldn't say he's someone who'll be picked with the expectation to be an offensive star and a completley different player a few years down the road. He is what he is to me.

And then your sig. And if i could recall you liked Knight as well. Damn, your confused.

I found this little tidbit

Sources say the Kentucky point guard could be risking his chance to go third overall to Utah by refusing to work out against competition. Knight has an open invitation to join Connecticut's Kemba Walker, BYU's Jimmer Fredette and UCLA's Malcolm Lee in a June 15 workout with the Jazz, but sources close to both sides said he has yet to decide whether to take part.

What's more, there are rumblings that Utah is less than thrilled at the notion that Knight would even consider dictating the terms with the No. 3 pick (although Turkish center Enes Kanter already did just that in his Jazz workout in Chicago in which Toronto also took part). It's unclear whether the Jazz would take a hard-line stance and refuse to take Knight unless he worked out against other top-line competitors, but that appears to be a possibility.

thats why i was suprised when people werent mentioning jimmer. i watched all his ncaa games, he is incredible man. he is deron- esque im telling you. He has really been put down for his defense and athleticism, but the shots he can make (especially the and 1 plays) are superstar like. jimmer will be a very good player trust me

+2, the guy's been killing it in every workout. He played good defense on Tobias Harris, who is 4 inches taller in the Sacramento workout, the video is on their board I think. We're terrible 3 point shooters and this guy is deadly from half court and in. He's exciting and would bring a ton of good publicity to the team.

Knight potentially screwing up his Utah workout is only good news for us, it certainly appears like he had the better workout for us here, especially with the things Kelly said about him. Landing him, along with Bismack/Jonas with an additional pick we acquire in a Bargs trade would be an amazing outcome for us imo. Maybe we could trade Jose for Diop+one of Charlotte's picks (#9 would be great, but realistically I think it would be #19). We open up 2.85 million in capspace this offseason, and can maybe pick up the guy that's projected to go #19 now, Chris Singleton, who I'd like to have here as a great prospect as a lockdown defender on the wing (or perhaps we go with Nogueira/Tyler etc.). We'd then have a little more than 10 million in potential capspace this offseason (perhaps more, perhaps less, depending on the outcome of a Bargs trade and re-signings)

(Bismack/Jonas)/Diop/Alabi
Ed/Amir
J.Johnson/(#19-Singleton?)/Kleiza
DeMar/Barbosa
(#5-Knight)/Bayless

Jimmer really would be a perfect kid to learn from Nash.

So do I. I think he'd be a monster in Mike D'Antoni's SSOL. I mean, you're talking about a threat to score immediately as he crosses halfcourt. I'm telling you, that would be a sight to behold from an offensive perspective.

Yeah, reportedly NY has been weighing if they want to try and Trade up for Jimmer or Klay. They might want to avoid another Steph Curry situation like before.

who knows, perhaps Jimmer is a guy BC wants with this rumored additional pick. I still think it's a C, but you never know (BC has never mentioned the Jimmer in his interviews, but he has gone and seen his games this year)--and if it's Bargs we're trading for the pick used to select him, it's essentially an offense for offense trade anyways.

There's no doubt Jimmer can light it up, but I'm so tired of defensive pylons.

me too, but a lot of people on here would be ecstatic about bringing Stephen Curry here, who happens to be quite the defensive pylon himself. Not saying Jimmer is going to be the next Stephen Curry, but he's not on a completely different realm as a prospect.

Yea, it seems like Steph Curry has a lot of people infatuated offensively, but they don't realize he's a joke defensively. The only way you take guys like these is if you have at least one dominating shot blocker in the paint, but preferably two since there will be plenty to cover up.

agreed. I think in general, weaknesses in terms of PG defense can be covered for (as opposed to weaknesses in your interior D), but obviously given the option, the preferable choice would be to not have that be a weakness. That's why I hope if we do end up drafting a PG (and we have a choice in doing so), I'd prefer Knight to Walker.

He's not a defensive pylon, he was specifically told not to focus on defense at BYU, 'cause they needed him to be their offense. Look at the video clip above your post of his workout in Sacto. He's playing great "d" on Tobias Harris, who is 4 inches taller. He put up great athletic #'s at the combine, which means he has the ability to play defense.

I hope we can pick this guy up. Looks like he has a promise to not fall past a certain slot though.

CU's Alec Burks told @sam_amick that he's top 10. He has or will work out for teams at 4, 6, 8, 9, 11. Wonder if he'll keep 6/19 appt w/PHX.
