so one of my professors has convinced me to give graduate school a shot, so i get to start that whole process of trying to get in - should be fun

Good luck hermes, I need to decide if I want to do graduate school or industry soon. At the moment I'm on the grad school pathway, but who knows.

Where are you thinking of applying, Pitt?

not sure yet, i'm looking at going for a master's in public policy and my professor rattled off a few of the top programs and one did include Carnegie Mellon which would have me at the pittsburgh campus for a couple years

but its still early, got some other stuff to take care of (including possibly getting a paper published

)

and not looking forward to the GRE

I have a friend that just took them, said they weren't bad. I'm hopefully going to get my name on some published papers with in the year, for sure one if my PI gets her PhD next June like she is planning. Plus I make scaffolds for half the lab now, but I'm not sure if my name will get on their papers, or just my PI's.

Carnegie bumps right into Pitt, the centers of their respective campuses are probably a 15 to 20 minute walk from each other.

nice, good luck on your stuff

i wasn't even expecting mine, i had been working on it the last month or so because she wanted me to submit it to an undergraduate contest of some sort, and today she asked if i would like to try and get it published. which basically amounts to her re-writing it (me being a co-author) and no additional work from me

which i thought was great

Took 2 hrs to finish up on reading up one of my old projects and learn serial communication standards. This will be a pain in the butt. Time only flies by when you are trying to save it.

Hey. Long time no see. I finally got around to visiting here and the NBA season is over. Oh well, hope all is well. I am in HCM City (Saigon), Vietnam still. Enjoying life here. Hopefully some day I will come home to Cali and catch a Lakers game.
