I got accepted to Case Western and got their 2nd largest scholarship, but 25k-ish doesn't do much in a 50k+ school and I got wait listed at Johns Hopkins. Pitt was my safety school.

Hopkins is by far the #1 Biomedical Engineering school in the country, it has it's on check box on the application, the only major that does. Case Western is a top 5 Biomed Engr school, but the distance and added cost and relationship I was in at the time all played a part. I decided on Pitt, a top 15 school in the country for Bioengineering, but a top 5 in research and that really matters most for grad school.

Those figures are all for undergraduates btw. Graduate wise, I think Pitt is much higher because of some staff they signed on recently and UPMC is huge.

CalBerkley is pretty chill from what my friends have told me. Was gonna transfer there this year because my parents didn't want my brother staying in SanFran by himself. That didn't happen, thankfully.

Nope, not quite poor enough and one spot in class rank off and 10 off on the SAT scores (my class of engineers is ridiculously smart). I get scholarships from other sources though.
