I believe that our draft board is Brandon Knight first, than Bismack second. I hope we can somehow grab both; trade Bayless or anyone else not named Derozan or maybe Ed Davis to make it happen. I still think either Ed Davis or Amir Johnson should be traded if it means we can fill another hole.

i would be ok with trading ed davis, if we get rid of bargs we get rid of some scoring if we draft biyombo

Speaking of Koolaid wasn't that Wade we overlooked for Bosh? All because we had VC! When this organization makes mistakes it make BIG mistakes. If you have a chance to take the guy who is as fast as a deer forwards, backwards and sideways you do it and you don't think twice.

Our unique skill at ignoring the obvious. The league is actually going smaller let's get with the program. Let me clarify. All the reasons for selecting Knight lend themselves to also picking Kemba. Going Bismack is a Hail Mary.

Hes more skilled, has a bigger body of work, is a legit C, a great rebounder, good free throw shooter e.t.c.

I'm glad Val is not being considered. He's a great free throw shooter but in terms of choosing a project big man, Biyombo has the strength, mobility, quickness, and his explosiveness to translate into a much better prospect than Val. Assuming they are both the same age, I don't think there is any question who's the better prospect.

If that were 100% true he'd be drafted much higher. I don't buy it he smells like a bust

Hardly anyone in the bloody world had Wade higher than Bosh as prospects. TJ Ford was even higher than Wade. You can't fault the Raps on that one.

Take Hoffa over Iggy because we already had VC is a completely different animal.

Why do so many people get caught up with a players athleticism. Doesn't mean squat if he doesnt have SKILLS. Val's more polished offensively and a good rebounder. Give me a guy who projects to be a better ALL ROUND player.

Three years ago I wanted DD, as did most of us. Last year when the 13th pick came up and Ed Davis was there, I wanted him - we took him. This year I wanted either Knight or BB entering the draft..it appears the Raptors are looking to do just that. Thus I find it hard to be critical...which is obviously not the case with a number of posters.

BC stated that the team's biggest need was an interior presence, and that's precisely what BB is. Yet people think it's a poor move. I can't say I get it. Of course there's a chance he doesn't turn out...there's that chance with every player in this draft beyond the top two or three.

BB won't be playing 40 minutes per game right from the start so there will be plenty of minutes for Ed Davis and Bargs over the next couple of seasons...if Bargs hasn't improved he'll be gone when BB is ready to play starters' minutes. If Bargs and BB don't work out we will still have Davis and Johnson as building blocks..hardly chopped liver. It will take some stones to draft BB and I think BC has them...I hope he goes for it.... Blyombo has the potential to be the best player from this draft.

I wonder if Detroit would do Jason Maxiell, Ben Wallace and #8 for Jerrard Bayless, Amir Johnson and Soloman Alsbi?

Biyombo is a defensive version of Bargnani except no one knows if that one potential skill he has will even play in the NBA. The dude was stuffing old men and highschoolers.

To be honest his buyout situation is scaring a lot of teams off.

He had a rebound rate of 22.3% last year. Thats 1% less than Kevin Love and players from Europe who come over have their rebound rate go up by 30%. So the guy is clearly going to be a top rebounder and a good shot blocker. Unlike Bargnani he has heart and he plays hard everytime hes on the floor. Hes also a good free throw shooter and hes been working on his jumper. He also has terrific hands and unlike Biyombo there isnt a major chance that he will bust.

Forget Biyombo, try and get a free agent then you don't need to spend a draft pick on him:
2012:
DeAndre Jordan or Marc Gasol or Greg Oden or Tyson Chandler/Andrea Bargnani
Davis/Amir Johnson
Harrison Barnes or Michael Gilchrist/Kleiza
Demar Derozan/Jerryd Bayless
Brandon Knight/Jose/Jerryd Bayless

That is a team that could grow together

What's better than 1 Alabi? 2! We have such a great track record of developing raw bigs. First Giant Heart Guy then Alabi, now maybe Bismack? Perfect. Wonder if we can get a hold of Jerome Moiso, he must be ready to make an impact by now.
