as long is the hard cap is something really high, it wouldn't work. a strict hard cap would have to be tied to salary roll backs to be feasible.

hard cap is set at a very reasonable $100mil(for those very few teams that should be even close to that)

as for Tiny Chat... we can get that set up once the roster thread is posted.

Friday will most likely be the day I put up the roster and trade threads since 1 of our GMs will not have internet til then and I don't want to have him get stuck not being able to deal on the very 1st day.

I have a suggestion / request.

Can we get a list of the 2012 free agents up so everyone can plan ahead and see what's coming.

This shows 2011 and 2012 for every team.

(P) - PO
(T) - TO
(ETO) - ETO

That includes any 1 year deals that are signed in 2011 FA

I have either the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks or Detroit Pistons.

So, I'll be looking for a Center, and everyone will be available in Atlanta

or

I'll be keeping Dirk, Chandler, but considering offers on anyone else in Dallas

or

I will be looking for a home for Charlie Villaneuva in Detroit. In fact, my whole roster outside of Knight/Monroe will be demolished ASAP.

:p

Yeah since we are just going to be waiting for a day...

Ill be getting LAL or WAS or DET

LAL - Keep Kobe. Downgrade one of my bigs, to upgrade my point. Replace Bynum with someone healthier.

or

WAS - Keep Wall. Get a defensive big to play next to him for the future (Bynum, Horford ect). Use Rashard Lewis' EXP to take bad contract/asset

or

DET - Either keep Monroe/Knight or trade them for 1 player to build around (Dwill, Westbrook ect). Get rid of bad contracts, but not by adding incentives.

So yeah, definitely ready to start...

Here's my possible teams, and what I'm looking to do

LAL - Cut down payroll considerably, but still contend. No one will be untouchable, not even Kobe if the right offer comes around.

MIA - I will keep either Wade or LeBron to build around, and everyone else will be available for the right offer. Will also look to minimize unnecessary payroll.

MIN - Build around Love and Rubio. All others available in right offer.

Here's what I plan on doing with Utah....

- I want to stay young
- Would like to move my vets (Devin Harris, Paul Millsap, Al Jefferson and CJ Miles) for the right kind of offer: (solid younger players, PG & SF ideally + '12 draft picks is what I'm looking for)
- I also don't mind moving one of my younger players (Favors, Kanter, Hayward or Burks) in addition with one of my vets to acquire younger, more proven player(s) in the league.
- I'm also very open to sign and trading Andrei Kirilenko

Since I'm the Clippers GM, thought I would put my thoughts out there.

~ Blake Griffin will NOT be moved unless you're offering me LeBron James and Dwight Howard for him. So don't even think about offering for him unless you're willing to severely overpay.
~ Eric Gordon will only be moved for an upgrade. If you're going to offer your spare parts for him, just don't. Looking to put another franchise player with Blake Griffin.
~ Neither Mo Williams nor Chris Kaman have to be moved, in fact I'd be content with both of them remaining Clippers. So if you're just offering pure expirings or cap relief, don't even bother. The Clippers are going to contend and just cap relief doesn't help me contend.
~ As for my other center, DeAndre Jordan, I'll match any and all offers on him. I've got beyond enough cap room to re-sign DeAndre Jordan and still have plenty of wiggle room to make deals. So if you're intersted in DeAndre Jordan, your best bet would be contact me about a S&T.
~The only player I might give away cheap is Brian Cook, and that's because I hate him from his Lakers days.

Honestly, it'd be pretty tough to consider a Eric Gordon-Chris Paul swap given how much money is owed to CP3 and the question surround his knees.

Everyone who hasn't listed their AIM screename's in the sign up thread, please do so now...it makes things a lot easier than having to figure out people's screenames's when you're looking to trade with them OR if they even hve AIM at all.

Done the AIM account set up and everything else as requested. However, the best place to list that address is on the Team Assignment page where rosters are posted, what page team are on, etc. It sure would be nice to know who you're playing for in this round. Those of us with families and weekend commitments are basically going to miss 3 days of trading if we can't get something going soon.
