The Sacramento Kings agreed to trade SG/SF John Salmons to Detroit in exchange for newly acquired Vince Carter and Elliot Williams.

Sacto sends Salmons ($ 8M) out for Vince Carter ($5.5M) & Ellioit Wms (1.348) = $8,560,000. The salaries work.

Detroit reports they needed to upgrade their SGs and felt Salmons provide the instant offense and tough Defense they are looking to achieve.

He provides great offense, solid D, and a combo big that can play both C and backup PF for us. With Haywood on the team as a pure defensive C, it's good to bring in Nene to add some scoring while keeping the D. Tmac is a TO next year, so a big exp for us, and Henry is Ebanks 2.0. Nice dealing guys.
