The Detroit Pistons move Anderson Varejao & Jose Calderon to the Denver Nuggets in return for
JJ Barea.

While Detroit hates to move Varejao it was the cost to relieve the high priced log jam we had at Point Guard.

Denver accepts. Now we have a high-priced logjam at pg, but at least we have a capable center. Anderson Varejao gives us exactly what we need from the center position- hustle, rebounding, defense, and efficiency. Calderon and Baron Davis are both expirings, so our pg mess isn't much of a concern.
