What? They're still playing, and all your stats are wrong.
Gose is 1 for 2 with a walk and a home-run.
D'Arnaud is 3 for 3 with a double and two RBI's.
Hech is also 3 for 3 with 3 runs. But, he has 2 (!) errors.
Alvarez has pitched 5 innings, 7 hits, a walk, 2 ER (3R) and 5 strikeouts.

Deja Vu. The Jays have signed Chad Gaudin to a minor league deal after being released by the Nats.

Mine too. I love the prospects that just come out of no where.
Want: Trae Young, Michael Porter Jr., DeAndre Ayton, Jaren Jackson Jr, Marvin Bagley III, Mohamad Bamba, Shai Gilgeous- Alexander, Elie Okobo, Jevon Carter

I know we venerate starting pitching and power offence, but this kid deserves some kudos for this, if only for the slight possibility be becomes the anti-Rauch. That's because I dream of a team full of Colbys and Travis's
LottOnBaseball John Lott
…Colby Broussard (44th round '11) 2.1 scoreless to close it. In 14 relief appearances, Broussard has ERA of 0.44 and WHIP of 0.667.

RHP Colby Broussard, 6’4″ 220 lb, from Luling Louisianna, selected with the 44th rd pick in 2011
Past: Went to Faulkner College where he was 4-0, had 8 saves (was a closer for the squad), and held a 4.17 ERA
Stats in the GCL in 2011: 14 GP (0 GS), 18 IP, 0.50 ERA, 6 hits, 1 ER, 6 BB, 13 Ks, .103 average against
Analysis: As unimpressive as his stats were for Faulkner, they are completely the opposite with the GCL Jays. Simply put, he has been lights out as a closer for the squad and is surely on his way to Bluefield or Vancouver in the near future. The 22 year old should be pushed up the ranks fairly quickly as a reliever, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do once he reaches Lansing and higher. It always seems hard for pitchers that go through the minors as relievers to make it to The Show, but there is always a chance that gems will come through and earn a spot in the pen, as Tim Collins has proven this year. Keep an eye on Broussard, as he could be a fairly good relief prospect for the Jays despite being such a late round pick.

Hey
Just wondering what Travis Snider has been up to since he was sent down. He hasn't appeared in a single game yet。

I would have liked to see a Bautista, Rasmus and Snider outfield get some burn.

Re: 2011 Minor Leagues/Prospect Discussion Thread
Couple of interesting pitching lines from last night.
Molina in Dunedin had an ok start by his standards.
5.0IP 7H 3R 2ER 0BB 5SO 5:4GO:FO
Deck had a bit more rough of a time in AA, though nice to see the high SO numbers.
5.2IP 5H 4ER 4BB 8SO 5:3GO:FO
Dustin McGowan has been moved to AA and is scheduled to throw 65-70 pitches in his next rehab start.
Lastly, Henderson Alvarez call up?
via DFJ,
Still a wee bit concerned the Jays might be rushing him if its true, but I remain totally excited at the idea of seeing him. Just as exciting as the Lawrie call up for me.

via DFJ,
Interestingness on this front via the Twitter of Jays prospect-ish Justin Jackson, who just before 2 PM ET tweeted, "Wow #HendersonAlverez show!!!" Will another call-up interrupt one of our live streams? I have no idea, but wouldn't bet against it. (Note: New Hampshire isn't playing today, so it's not like Alvarez is putting on some kind of a show right now.)

Yep, looking like Alvarez will be called up to start Fri against the Angels.
Eh, found a Spanish article on the call up: http://www.liderendeportes.com/Noticias/Beisbol/Henderson-Alvarez-recibio-llamado-de-los-Azulejos.aspx
