I really think Iman is gonna be a steal. He has all the tools to be great and with his work ethic, it gives him the best chance to put all those tools together I can't wait to see this kid on an NBA court.

Would people be happy if I-Shump is at the level of a Shannon Brown?

I know it's fun to imagine that he could be much more -- and who knows; that's what the drafted-player honeymoon is all about -- but SB is not bad. There appear to be game similarities.

Good comparison KG but I think Iman has potential to have a better "on the floor" game. That and quicker feet on defense.

Brown's big problem for a while was the fact that he couldn't dribble very well at all (and that he's really dumb) Iman already seems to have better handle. But it's very possible he could be a Brown-level player which wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

I think that's a good comparison. Although, I think Iman can end up being better. Iman has a better handle and I think has a chance to play PG at times which is an advantage and something Brown can't do. But that is a good comparison. Both athletic guards with good tools.

I think I'd be disappointed if Shump doesn't end up being at least a little better than Brown.

I'd be happy if he were Tony Allen, 6-4 defensive guard with hops.

With better scoring ability. No more one dimensional players. Even if the one dimension is defense.
I want a complete player.

Shump has some pretty good offensive potential. Sure he has a defensive tenacity about him that probably make his rep early on in his career. Although his offensive ability and how well he can develop it could make him more than just a role player.

Agreed. I don't expect him to be able to come in and shut down Wade or Rose, but I expect him to play hard and be a pest on defense. I think as he gets used to the league, you'll see him play even better defense. And Iman has the potential to be great offensively. If he can knock down a consistent shot, he can be dynamic. He's athletic, can slash to the rim, dunk, can handle the ball, and can distribute, if he can develop a consistent shot, which he is trying to do, watch out.

Tony Allen with an offensive game would be a great addition to this squad. I really hope this lockout ends, I want to see how Iman, Fields and the other young guys have come along.

I didn't know Shump was playing overseas but he excites the people of Culiacan, Sinaloa with a between the legs dunk. Shump is wearing #10 (obviously).

I can't wait to see what some of the Knicks players think of Iman once they get to see him first hand. It seems like he's been impressing everyone who's seen him this summer.

Yeah, that's one reason I'm impatient for this workout Amar'e keeps delaying. We can get some quotes on Shumpert then.

Agreed. I wanna see what some of his teammates think of him and I want him to get as much time as possible to work with Billups. Iman sees himself as a PG and Chauncey is a great PG. Chauncey sort of learned to play PG even though he was considered somewhat big for the position which sounds a lot like Iman. Iman has the body of a SG, but has the tools to play PG and I'm hoping Chauncey can give him some pointers. And the whole team could use a mini training camp to continue to build some chemistry.
