Love that Smith's team mates came all the way down and supported him - especially Newton who was in there mixing it up.

Is Smith considered undersized for a WR?

Smitty is a bad ass for real. I got to hang out with him a few times back in high school when he lived near one of my friends. Coolest guy I ever got to meet

Dude is my size yet is one of the biggest bullies in the league. See how he had that guy on the ground by his face mask? lmao

I'm not sure what run defense should look like but if it has anything to do with tacking then, ya, your run defense has been horrible. Dudes tackling with spaggetti arms (especially that #23). Way too many missed tackles because Panthers guys are either over committing with their tackle and flying by their target or they are standing flat footed.

our two best linebackers are out for the season, jon beason and thomas davis. we already had a thin defense and now its just pathetic w/out those two. and our defensive line (the 3 or 4 really big fat dudes who lineup right in front of the ball - two of them are rookies. linebackers are the 3 guys that play right behind the defensive line. defensive backs would be the 4 guys playing deep trying to cover the guys going out for passes.

He's tiny for any position other than Running back. And even those guys are beefier (while shorter)

yeah, a little bit. generally teams have one fast dude, sometimes smaller (like smith) and one taller stronger dude, more of a possession receiver. smith kinda does both for us, since our other receivers suck. he is our deep threat and our possession guy.

Who is the dude that was standing to Newton's left when he threw that pass to Smith? He did a hell of a job stopping the defender from getting to Newton and allowing Newton the time to find Smith. He practically lifted the jabroni into the air to stop him advancing.

And, for a rookie, is Newton cool as a cucumber? Looks like he doesn't panic at all and shows great patience.

He's obviously got some sick hops. He REALLY got up on that touch down catch.

i think that would be jordan gross #69, whose job is to stop the other team from rushing newton.

pretty cool you are getting this game up there.

We get the fox game every week which is why I am getting this one (I assume you guys dont get a lot of nationally televised games - sounds familiar!!).

I could also watch the Titans Vs Steelers and the Eagles Vs Bills right now if I wanted to because they are on TV up here too.

Would have been nice if that #88 ran a little harder then. Looked like he was running at about 75% then. At 100% I thin he could have got to that ball.

I didn't catch his number. I only noticed him on the replay and that was up close on Newton's face.

the panthers definitely get more respect nationally than the bobcats. we went to the superbowl one year about 8 years ago and made the playoffs maybe 5 times over the past 15 years. we've really only had two awful seasons. just so happens that one of those awful seasons was last year. plus in the nfl small market teams can actually compete fairly with the big market teams.

but generally speaking, we dont get too many national games. maybe 2-3 per season. we will get lots more with cam though. he is going to be a HUGE star.

So I'm around 6'7" and 250lbs.

Cons:
- I am pretty slow speed wise
- Get gassed easily

Pros:
- Have excellent hands and timing to catch a ball
- Encourage and enjoy getting and giving physical contact
- Enjoy putting my body on the line
- Good at tackling
- Strong as an ox

What position would I play in this sport?
