Edit: HA!! As I was typing that Brees got sacked!! Back to what I was saying..........

and their deep D has been good but it's that in between defense that has been exposed. Brees just keeps popping it over the top and picking up easy receptions. The Panthers have to stop defending so deep and start worrying about that in between area.

that in-between area goes back to us missing our two best defenders, beason and davis. they play linebacker (the inbetween area) and are responsible for most of the tackling, sometimes rushing the passer, sometimes dropping back to defend the pass etc... and one of our fill in starters at linebacker is also out today. its basically #50 anderson and a whole bunch of back ups.

panthers time out one of the dumbest things ive ever seen. who the hell called that? rivera? rookie head coach move? brain fart? we just gave away 3 pts. we just keep shooting ourself in the foot.

I think the NT chances are gone. The only possible way I can see that happening is if Clemson remains undefeated and we beat them (which would make me lol so hard) and we manage to beat 12-0 LSU/Alabama. Arkansas will help too but it all depends on who is left; we'll bypass Boise State (of course) but I don't see us getting in over an undefeated Wisconsin or Oklahoma. I think we would pass Stanford if they went undefeated.

But I just don't see us closing out the SEC Championship game and running the table. We aren't that good *yet*. Hopefully Jeffery stays another year but I'm liking the development of Nick Jones, Ellington, and Byrd. As Wilds improves, he should take some heat off of Lattimore.

He loves that one handed fend off - doesn't he? That catch and control under triple coverage at :50 was sick. Good to see Glen Big Baby Davis make a cameo at 1:09.

He obviously has great skills, but based on that clip, he's annoying as hell. Does he ever shut up?

like swedd said, he's pretty cool off the field. he used to come on the local radio all the time. he does a lot of stuff in the community as well. but when he is in the game, he turns into a raging lunatic.

Know what? He sort of looks like Okafor. Seriously, he does. Look at :54!!

His lateral movement is awesome. His ability so switch between going left and right and then back again is great. That sequence at 2:17 is awesome. There was 7 directional changes.

I think that DeAngelo is my guy.

3 years ago deangelo had a MONSTER year. he was a top 3 running back that year. the past two years he's been cut down by injuries and terrible quarterback play. also jonathan stewart (our other running back #28 is almost just as good - some say better than deangelo) so the two of them split carries lately.

stewart is more of a power back than deangelo, but also fast enough to break the long run.

Ya Fats, I could be #80.

I wish I had a camera angle that showed down field so I could see what they were doing at the snap though.

The roughing penalty? Ya, I don't get that. Isn't the idea so kill the QB as he throws the ball?

Does Newton always over throw the ball so much when going deep?

the biggest knock on newton so far has been his accuracy. he has a bad habit of overthrowing his receivers. when he misses he tends to miss high, which is dangerous. other than that, dude plays like a 10 year vet.

the league has gone overboard the last few years by putting in rules to protect the qb. trying to keep the superstars on the field as much as possible.

I commented a couple of pages ago that he sure is cool under pressure. Doesn't seem to panic at all.

He does seem to lob the ball high a long a lot when going deep though.

Ok, that 2nd drive to punch in the TD by Newton was cool. Way to stick with it.

Kids got some will.

i know cam is a big dude and he has 5 rushing tds this year, but i still would prefer that stewart or deangelo get those goal line carries. no need to put cam into that situation when we have two great running backs on the roster.
