Behind this line with these run plays I'm not sure adding Chris Johnson or Darren McFadden would help much. I hate the slow-developing, lateral then vertical runs. Peterman and Cherilus are snowplow type blockers, but too many of the run plays ask them to find targets in space. That's stupid, akin to asking Suh to play safety. I don't think Linehan and the offensive staff are getting near enough criticism.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

A 5th or 6th round pick isn't bad, but I don't think he could outlplay Titus for the 3rd receiver spot.

lol, I said 5th/6th rounder not top 10 1st rounder. :D

My philosophy on draft picks are its a minimal chance of even getting players that can play in the NFL in the 5th-7th rounds. So I think anytime you can get a player that's proven he can play, and can help you right away, for a late draft pick, I'd do it most times than not.

I like Titus better, dont get me wrong, but it doesn't hurt to add depth.

I agree about the O-Line. I think a lot of it stems from them spending all their time practicing pass protection (because we have such a pass heavy offense) that they aren't prepared for running plays.
I think if they spent all their time practicing run blocking, then they could be a decent line in that phase. But then you'll see more problems in pass protection as well because less time available to work on that phase.

Being that all of our top talent is in the passing game, I understand why they focus most of their preparation on pass protection, and not so much on run blocking. That said, I think if we were able to get a top-flight RB somehow, that would all change. And they would work on both equally. I'm not really upset with the OC because we don't have anyone to block for.

I hope you are right, but I like the kid, and I'm starting to get worried about his noggin. Its just a game, no point in ruining the rest of your life to keep playing.
