Amnesty after a trade?

Based on last CBA and anything you've heard about the next one...

Can your team trade for a guy who is cheaper to amnesty and then amnesty him?

The last deal was agreed to in principle on June 21, 2005. The CBA (which was executed between the parties a little more than a month later) stipulated that the player had to be signed or acquired prior to that date in order to qualify for the amnesty provision.

Only thing about that i've read is Marc Stein saying he spoke to an exec that believes that this will not be allowed (trading for a player, then using the amnesty on him).
