its cp3 that wants to join the team. It would be insulting for cp3 if he got rejected by melo esp that they are friends. If melo really needs more then he wouldnt have gutted this team for him. But hes not mentally weak like lebron who need not only 1 sidekick but 2.

I'd rather have the best center in the league who has never had a serious injury than ONE of the best point guards who was recovering from injury last season. You guys dot understand with Howard our interior defines completely changes, and Nash can get STAT, Melo, and Howard the ball just as well CP3 can.

Unless the Knicks suddenly have enough money to offer Paul or Howard the max, I just don't see it happening. But as long as we're daydreaming, how can you argue with Amare?

I always thought the Knick's best chance to get to the next level was to have Steve Nash (or Jason Kidd for that matter) join the team on the cheap since both their contracts expire at the right time. The Knicks will have enough money to sign a high quality/near max player outright, and perhaps they'll be able to poach another very good player if the Amnesty clause goes through. That's 3 quality players next to Amare/Melo and certainly a realistic scenario. I'd be very happy about that.

This is a bs story just designed to get us yapping about it. Amare makes a great point, HOWEVER, how can NY go wrong with either guy? NY can find a frontcourt bruiser to take pressure off Amare in the paint. Can you go wrong with Dwight Howard and Steve Nash? Hells no! But that is 2K12 shat right there...for real.

I do think next season we will have CP3. And if that's so, then we should also sign a guy like Robin Lopez, allow Jerome Jordan to get some experience and see what Jorts can do. But first let's get this lockout settled and sign our rookies, make some clever acquistions, like signing a guy like Robin Lopez and roll out the balls with Chauncey Billups (why we can't just let Chauncey live is beyond me, the dude is as good as we've had at the position since Derek Harper)

I think we will be real dangerous this season and have as good a chance as anyone to make BIG noise in the EAST (if there is a season)

What a pussified league the NBA has turned into. These players wanna be given everything now, including Championships.

This all sounds like rumor and hearsay, but if Nash would be willing to come for the minimum I would take it a run with it. That's the only way you turn down CP3 for Dwight, but honestly if Nash would come for the minimum I might be for actually constructing a real team with the remaining cap space and not wasting it on a 3rd star.

Put together a good team, develop chemistry, and try to win.. I mean jeez. is that so hard?

I think it's just a very assuming and "dreamy" article. Not saying that it's not necessarily true, but it's not likely that this guy would know.

And I'm siding with Stat, even though I'd gladly take Paul. Imagine Grunwald or whoevers GM at the time "that's it kids, if you wont decide than I'll sign Deron!!!" lmao

And that's exactly why Amar'e wants him!

So he can continue to play like a pussy on the defensive end, and continue to slack on the rebounds with all of that god given talent he has. Fxcker just wants his on the offensive end.

I'd take Howard if we trade Amar'e bxtch ass in a heartbeat though (don't tell him I said that).

CP3, Melo, D12 = YES!

Thats the reason why amare wants to be the best offensive big man in the league so he wouldnt have to play defense. Im sure howard love to play like amare, its just that hes a slow learner that hes not capable of becoming as good as amare on offense so hes forced to play defense just to get a max contract.

howard want to develop his offense years ago. magic said no. howard hired shooting coach. magic stepped in and said u cant do that fire him. its the magics that tell howard he cant play offense. howard doesnt have shooting touch like ewing tho so he better off playing like shaq than amare anyways

I would find it hard to believe that the Magic do not want Howard to improve his offensive game.

I don't understand why people talk like this? Just because players want to control their destiny's, doesn't mean that they're "cowardly" or something.

I think any sane fan would say Howard would give us the greatest potential, Nash or not.

But at this point, it seems like it's almost a 'bird in hand..' type of deal, that's how sure a thing it seems if there a financial way to get CP3 here that he'll be here, or at least be more than on board to come.

Made up or not... Amare would be the one with the right mindset imo..Howard Amare Melo Nash + anyone would be win.. challenge records status imo..

But whether Howard wants to come here is up in the air.. No complaints about having two options though.

I think Melo has spent more time with Paul than he has with his wife.
