The best we can offer The Hornets would focus on a re-signed Richardson, Nelson and I guess Anderson as our focal points with their deal focused on Paul and off-loading Okafor, both of whom would fit in well here.

Probably the best we can hope for is a package from The Bulls and asking for Noah, Deng and Gibson whilst giving away Howard and Turkoglu and allowing us to amnesty the albatross that is Arenas. I really don't like the idea of us placing faith in Bynum's health and Gasol who seemed to age rapidly in the second half of the season.

Unless we get a miracle, sometime this season Dwight is gone. :(

Which confuses me, outside of going and playing with the Heat, the best player for him pair up with is Dwight. Why doesn't CP3 see this ? Is he really that dumb ?

Maybe we can still get Williams or Ellis. Williams IMO will not stay with the Nets, since Dallas will offer him a max deal. It is either wait and see for Howard or go play with Dirk and unlimited assets from Cuban. That should be an easy decision for him, unless of course we can get him beside Howard in Orlando.

I can't see NJ trading Dwill to us after trading away Harris, Favors, and picks just a few months ago. They're all in and letting it ride

You never know, but I have my doubts about getting Williams, just like I had my doubts about getting Paul especially since he was willing to go to the Clippers who have great assets to give up for him. Howard might just have to accept what he has and move on.
Well it's not like he's on a bad team, lets be honest here. Looking at that team last year on paper they looked very good and I think way better than how they played in the PO's

@MisterRudolph Jarrod N Rudolph
Short piece coming in 20 minutes.

Who knows ..

Probably another confirmation we don't have a chance in hell of improving this roster

If I was a betting man I'd be betting that the Clippers are about to land CP3... something I read... hope I'm wrong

Dwights gone yall, we just don't have what it takes to get a quality player in Orlando. Otis has just left us high and dry. And no one can blame Dwight either, he has no chance to win a championship if he stays.

I agree. I think we need to resign JRich, Clark and sign a big man to backup Howard. That is really all we are missing. The Magic are a 50+ win team (82 games of course) and contender at this juncture if they do that.

i would rather Gordon, Bledsoe, Aminu, minny pick and Kaman than Chicago. Cheaper, younger and more upside.

If what the Clippers are offering is true, it should be a done deal. If they give Chandler his overpaid contract, Paul will most likely sign an extension and that will be that.

I think New Orleans is about to make that impossible for us

I will add, when Dwight goes, Otis Smith should lose his job over this.

If Otis sees this package going to the Clips, do you guys think he should counter and offer Howard, knowing that if Paul get's traded the best offer for Howard would be gone? The mooore you knoooowwww

Supposedly there was a long meeting today between Otis and other upper class Magic employees, probably Martins.. Probably just discussing the BVW situation though

Sometimes I wonder how hard Otis even tries. How come we never hear that the Magic are going after Paul/Monta-Ellis as hard as the rest of the teams?

Well the Magic could still get well under the cap, but that would mean you don't resign JRich or Clark, you can't sign a big to back up Howard and you just keep what you have for this season. You trade Nelson and Redick away after the season (Bass will take his out for sure) and you amnesty Arenas. That would give the Magic around 20 to 22 million depending on what the cap is after this season. They could use that to sign Williams or Paul if neither one has sign an extension by then.

Of course he's trying.
