Lakers had "cursory" talks today w/ ORL about Dwight Howard, The Times has learned. Translation: Unproductive. No trade proposals exchanged.

I guess the Mods changed the title of the thread... sounds good... I'll keep going through the pages and updating the OP when I'm free

No pressure to keep updating it. I just didn't want to completely hijack what you had going on in here. I didn't want to take it out of the title if you were still updating.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

I believe ORL will have Dwight in the starting lineup to start the season, and either CP3 or Ellis as a teammate and here's why:

The two games added to the Christmas day lineup
    Who owns the Hornets

So two additional games were added to Christmas day, GSW-vs-LAC and OKC-vs-ORL

Obviously it makes sense to get Durant and Griffin on TV as much as possible, but why GSW and ORL? Perhaps to showcase the team makeover(s)! How would the NBA know that this would happen unless THEY WERE INVOLVED IN THE PERSONNEL MOVEMENT!!!!

The news bulletins about GSW suddenly making offers for CP3.... Ellis as a possible teammate for Dwight... The Hornets wanting to move CP3 before the beginning of the season, it ALL started to fall into place like the end of Usual Suspects!!!

Whaddaya think????

Probably being a little over optimistic.........but I like it, lol.

I thought it was kinda weird that we were added to X-Mas games list over a team like Portland, or whatever. We weren't scheduled for any major holidays before.

Thanks :) Yeah no problem. I think I will stop updating the OP. I do have to get on the ball with studying for my final exams. I'll put a quick note in the OP. Thanks for taking the pressure off FFBlitzace. I appreciate it.

A much slower night than the last !

I know! I almost had a stroke when I found out we were playing the Rockets for our home opener!

Last night was too much to handle.

Thanks Ping, you're the best!

That is a 6 seed at best in the West. Why would Paul resign with a team only slightly better then the Hornets with West and a solid FA

you crazy. that's top 3-4 in the west.

How can anybody hate on that lineup?? That's an upgraded NO roster of a few years back I think....and that team was def a possible contender....they were the 2 seed in the West, and beat the Mavs and lost to the Spurs in game 7 of western semis.

Top 4
Mavs
OKC
Lakers
Spurs

2nd Tier
Blazers
Memphis
That GSW Roster

Dont get me wrong....its a playoff team. Just not top 4, and no better then the Hornets a few years back. Can you honestly say that team has a shot to make it to the finals ever[/quote]
if Mavs lose Chandler, they're not top 4 in the west. GSW roster is EASILY better than POR & MEM. Paul is that good and would elevate the play of their whole lineup.
