that's what I'm doing. but there may come a time that you'll be bored with what you're doing. everything will be simple and routinary. try exploring other fields.

Pretty much. Part of it is down to your own mind and most of it is due to external circumstances. Generally the more ambitious you are the longer it will take to be satisfied with a career.
