He better be around £10 million for his form this season alone, I don't care if he's English. He's been so bad.

Probably even less considering his contract runs out in a few months. With two foreign players expected to leave, I wouldn't mind signing a non-homegrown CB. I wonder if one of the two Dortmund CB's would fancy a move. I know Subotic wants to play in the PL.

I think being English alone guarantees £10 million minimum

I don't think Anelka's departure will mean much for Lukaku. We are probably getting a winger to replace Anelka and maybe play Sturridge at his natural CF position. I've seen us linked to Vargas and Ilicic, and I wouldn't mind either one.

Yeah I guess in truth he never really plays upfront anyway.

I too have seen some rumours but it's the usual, Jovetic, Hazard, Di Maria. Don't really see any of them being realistic for January, maybe Jovetic, but that's a HUGE maybe.

Wouldn't mind us giving a run at David Hoilett, absolutely rapid and pretty decent defensively and plays RW regularly for Blackburn, his contract expires at the end of the season as well so could be had for cheap

Suspected ankle ligament damage for Javier Hernandez, and Shay Given looks like he's done his hamstring.

That pitch had some voodoo all over it. Bizarre to see so many injuries in such a short span.

City look pretty awesome with their interchangeable front 4.

will rvp fall short or break shearers record? he only needs 4 goals to tie it and 5 goals to beat it but he has to score 5 more epl goals within the 2011 calender year.

I hope he does it, and if he does it will be done in 5 or 6 less games than Shearer did it.

Everton, Man City, Villa, Wolves, QPR - I could definitely see him doing it. Everton, Wolves and QPR are all at the Emirates, and the way he and Arsenal have played recently, you have to feel that at least one of them has "cricket score" written on it.

No comments on the Balotelli goal? Come on.

He was lucky to have a second chance, his first shot was poor.

Don't see the big deal with the goal. Glad he plays in the EPL, but glad it's not for Arsenal. He's too concerned with things other than winning football matches, and is as likely to be sent off as score a hattrick.

Yeah, you are right.
Chamakh is better than him, so you guys shouldn't want him in your team :)

He cost 25 Million pounds, we got Chamakh on a free.

i.e. I'm glad we haven't spent 25 MIllion pounds on Balotelli

Their fans love him now because the team's doing well, but things could change very quickly with guys like Balotelli. Still he's easily worth 25M IMO. Too much talent. He's 10 times the player Chamakh is.

Despite all his additional baggage Balotelli is a fantastic player and someone I'd pay 25 mil for without thinking twice. He's physically stronger than most players his age and a better player than Neymar in my opinion.

Not for me, there are players I'd much rather spend 25Mil on. If we shattered our transfer record fee by 9 Mil to get Balotelli, I'd be pissed.

I certainly agree he's better than Chamakh, I'm just saying I wouldn't spend that much money on him.

I still think Aguero was the best striker bought in the summer. Absolute quality, both in finishing and link up play. 13 games 11 goals 3 assists is a great return, especially for someone who many thought didn't have the physique for English football, let alone how quickly he's adapted.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

Nemanja Vidic to miss the rest of the season. This is going from bad to worse to a nightmare in quick time.
