The idea that Crawford is great at penetrating is a fiction.

That's sig worthy.

Crawford is one of the best at breaking down defenses and penetrating.

Wow. Just wow. You obviously love Crawford and are divorced from reality about all things concerning him. Okay, whatever.

Good'ol Crawford fanboys just love his patented crossover into step back fadeaway jump shot.

The amount of defense we gained with chandler would almost be undone if we got crawford and got rid of toney douglas in favor of starting bibby. WORST perimeter defending in the league

I'm sure they'll try Bibby with the starters and Toney with the second team as well. This is just one scrimmage of many to come.

bibby will in no way shape or form ever be a starter on this team...he is here to play 10 minutes a game and hit an open 3 thats it.

We could add that defensive SG or PG. C'mon Barea.

I'm pretty sure this is incorrect. If you go below the cap at any point in the offseason you must renounce your MLE and become eligible for the "room" exception.

Just checked, your right. How long until we reach the luxury tax? Because we are certainly build that sort of team.

I believe the luxury tax threshold begins at just over $70 million.

u would think...but basketball players dont always think with there brains the extra couple million probably rotting in minnesota or something is a bad look for him. He comes to NY, enjoys his life style and improves his stats for another run at Free agency

What are you laughing at? He's actually right. Whether you like Crawford or not, it's a fact that hardly anyone can keep him in front of them.

Why? He is a decent pg, he is def better then Bibby. I can't see the Knicks trading Douglas unless they already got a commitment from JJ or Davis.

No I would like him to be our sixth man, but I guess you're in love with Toney Douglas if you think a guy who is proven in his role is not better than an unknown in the other.

You can pull up just about any highlight of Crawford and you will see a combination of his crossover, drive, penetrate and finish, or instant offense combined with his league leading ability to create 4 point plays.

He is a good sixth man, that cannot be denied.

And like I have originally stated if he is willing to come cheap, the team should do it.

Toney is not a pg, so if that trade was made you're losing alot, since that isn't what he is.

I don't care what anyone wants to think. Crawford put up around 24 against Orlando in 4 games while Douglas could hardly dribble the damn ball against Boston.

This all of a sudden logic that Douglas is such a Gary Payton point guard is insanely ridiculous. He made Rondo look like Chris Paul in 4 games. He shot terribly and he was inconsisent during the season.

Yet, all of a sudden Jamal is terrible despite the fact he was the major reason why the Hawks did so well in the playoffs last season.

Are you laughing at your own ignorance? Everyone knows that's what JC is known for...breaking down his man one-on-one.

I'm not in love with Toney Douglas. I think he's a good player. I think Crawford is a good player too, but I'd rather have Douglas.

And your statement that Crawford is "one of the best at breaking down defenses" is hilarious.

Crawford is not a good penetrator. He barely gets to the FT line too. He has the skills but he settles for jumpers too much. So basically he can create his own shot and break down the defense with the best of them, but most of the time they are jumpers. Lets not get it twisted. Thats always been his issue.
