That is not a good deal for Crawford.
His agent is talking to us, so he seems quite aware that he is taking alot alot less than his market worth and seems okay with it.
He could have signed with the Nets but he's here talking to another unlikely suitor.

So where is Grant Hill?
Berman has been wrong waaay more than he's been right
Berman NEVER guaranteed Grant Hill would sign with the Knicks.

Say what you want, but Berman's been on the money all offseason. I trust him the most out of our four Knicks beat writers. Isola is a scorn HACK. Hahn has no sources, he just retweets and confirms everyone else's news. Beck is all corporate factual information after everything is a done deal (typical NY Times style). Berman is all we got besides the national guys.

C'mon man, you're a tenured poster...you're better than this. Once we committed to Chandler at the 11th hour we no longer had the full MLE to offer Grant. Since we took ourselves under the cap by amnestying Billups we renounced the MLE. It made us only eligible to offer him the "room" exception for $2.5 million. Do you think he was going to turn down larger offers AND uproot his family and take his kids out of school. If we don't acquire Tyson we land Hill. Berman was all over both stories.

berman was the main one reporting it.

ONLY way a player like Crawford would be okay with a deal like that is if you attach a no trade clause to it (which I don't believe is allowed). Otherwise, his ass is going to get traded every season on a friendly contract like that.

You must not be paying attention this offseason. Okay, let me ask you this. Out of our four beat writers who's the one consistently breaking every piece of major news. If you don't know go back and google all the articles in chronological order. Berman, Isola, Hahn or Beck. I challenge you.

@JCrossover it's a crazy process honestly the best look for u is the knicks to my opinion but wherever u go u will always be a key factor.
BigUgly wrote:Jamal is the driving force behind this . He is clearly dying to come back here and actually be part of something he thinks could be special. With no big offers coming in it makes sense that he would not mind a paycut to play on a good team in New York. Jamal does not seem to be the type of being all money driven. I think he always dreamed of what it would be like if the Knicks were actually good when he was here and now he wants desperatly to be a part of it. I always liked Jamal as a person he seemed like a real nice guy. I think he would fit in well and not jack up shots . I hope it happens.
