Evans is a bit long in the tooth. While he has worked on changing his game, what made Evans Evans was his athleticism. That really isn't there much anymore. His shooting is ok but it's really not that great to be looked at as a shooter. What is to like is, like Shawne Williams, Evans is a guy that isn't afraid when he's out there on the court. It doesn't matter who he's going up against he's not going to back down.

Williams makes more sense on account of age (of Evans) and the fact that Williams can play and guard bigger forwards (which Evans cannot). Evans would be a better "mentor" type and is more of a SG (an area of arguable need) but I think the Knicks are ok in that category right now.

So, yeah, Williams makes more sense. But then again, because Williams makes more sense he is valued more and therefore is likely to get more (from others).

Priority one still is a PG.
