Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part VIII)
i think a move for g. wallace would be a great fit. it could involve turk+anderson+picks. might not be enough though
nelson/duhon
jrich/wafer/liggins
wallace/q/
bbd/wallace/clark/harper
dwight/mlecenter/orton
contenders? much tougher team imo

because we have so many hindsight 20/20 moments....In years past we've passed up some players that are stars now...So now people think they can get lucky and find a diamond in the rough....I still remember when we passed up Danny Granger....he was great at New Mexico....but we decide to choose Fran Vasquez... A player we still haven't seen yet...There was some other decent players we didn't get that we could of IN THAT SAME DRAFT...
David Lee
Jason Maxiell
Linas Kleiza
C.J Miles
And ironically in the second round of that draft we picked get this TRAVIS DIENER over MONTA ELLIS...that's right TRAVIS DIENER over MONTA ELLIS...doesn't that sting now lmao...but you know what they say hindsight 20/20

That's not the point. I think Otis brought in these guys so that they could learn Stan's system as quickly as possible. Later on he'll trade the vet pieces like JJ, Anderson, and maybe a couple of the rooks like Orton and Liggings for a better player, probably at the point guard spot. I think Monta Ellis can be had, just have to find the right deal.

I think Wafer would get minutes if we weren't backed up at the 2. And that could change anytime.

Maybe we could send Jameer to them?
OKC has Manor who even outplayed RW in the playoffs, but if they want Jameer then takem

If we did get Bynum and Gasol, who would flip Bynum for Bogut & Cpt Jack and then Gasol for JSmoove?
Nelson
JRich
Cpt Jack
JSmoove
Bogut
No matter what, getting BOTH Bynum and Gasol is essential in giving us options.

I think J Smith will play the 3 this year, he's dropped a ton of weight and is faster than ever.

Well obviously not the entire playoffs, but many times vs the Mavs in the WCF Manor was put in for RW during crucial times. case in point that Jameer is not needed.

Then Gasol for JSmoove and keep Bynum
Nelson/JRich/JSmoove/BBD/Bynum
Unlimited options really. But then again, it is OTIS...

Unless we hold him and D12 till the deadline and turk plays lights out, which he tends to do when his career is on the line. If that happens it will up his trade value.

if we get gasol/bynum i'd rather make move for horford than smoove- and i'd rather have horford over gasol OR bynum- i think they might accept bynum for horford

The 5 first round picks can be interesting. NJ can still lose D12 or Deron to Free Agency, get a major injury, or fail to surround them with quality players. I think it is an offer we have to consider. We could move Lopez to a team like Houston to avoid his big payday next summer and get even more assets.

If I'm Magic, my response is "no..Jameer/JJ + 5 first rounders for Deron" ALL DAY, EVERYDAY!
