The more I think about it the less I want Bynam and his horrible knees here. The only thing that makes sense with the teams that are out there is nothing. We need lottery picks and to shed salary.

If we trade dwight we are almost sure to be taking on salary, if we let him walk than we are in a better cap space position. With the teams out there that Dwight is holding us hostage to nothing makes us a title contender. So the RDV wants to win now is great, but how the hell do you make it work?

The only option is to clear the hell out of space and go for picks. They can put all the blame, through the media of course, on diwght for the situation and bring on "heart and hustle 2.0". If they have to worry about filling the stadium for the years we are sucking then either lower the prices or don't care and take the profit share from the teams that screwed us in the first place.

I can imagine.......not much competition, though.

If Dwight Howard agreed to go to the Clippers and resign, they would be dumb not to trade Blake Griffin for him. Howard is easily the better player. He would be huge in LA, especially playing with Paul.

Pretty sure there is no way they make that deal.

The pick up of Chauncey Billups by the Clippers after Dwight said he wanted to play with him is telling. If Dwight wanted to forge his own path like he says then the Clippers is the place to do it. He and Paul could lift a franchise out of mediocrity and become the best team in LA, and him the best center in Clipper history.

I am horrible at the whole salary thing, can the clips afford him?

I substituted Caron Butler for Jordan and JJ Redick for J-Rich cause their salaries are basically the same.

Clips get: Dwight Howard,Jason Richardson,Hedo Turkoglu

PG-Paul/Billups/Mo
SG-J-Rich/Warren
SF-Butler/Hedo
PF-Davis/Tompkins
C-Dwight

Orlando gets: Blake Griffin,Jordan,Bledsoe+2 First round picks

PG-Jameer/Bledsoe/Duhon
SG-Wafer/Redick
SF-Clarke/
Pf-Griffin/Anderson
C-Jordan/Orton

After reading the above it doesn't look like we have much of a chance at Monta, Iggy or Josh Smith.

Our best shot seems to be Stephen Jackson.

We need to win and hope others soften their positions.

We would be getting back garbage for Dwight, it's not worth it.

After a week of this, I think I am in the same place. I really don't think this is Shaq 2. Salary cap space is so much more important today. We can just as easily rebuild with cap space and free agents than taking on the garbage that is being offered. I agree, let's make Dwight fulfill his contract and make one more run with him.

I think what people are forgetting is that one of the main reasons we lost Shaq and the fan base was outraged was that we low balled him.

This is not about the FO low balling dwight, this is about dwight wanting to go. I think the fans will understand letting him walk as long as it is sold that we did everything we could to try and keep him here. Put it on Dwight, make the fans hate him for bailing on us and then we can rally around rebuilding.

Why should we take garbage that just makes us an 8 seed at best for him? Then we don't even get the chance to get someone from this deep draft.

they should do sth simple like this
and i would still be happy
no cap relief for us but still ...
getting our new beast to build around...

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7tljenv

If I was clippers gm Id do that in a heartbeat

save them money and they can amnesty someone else...

sure blake is great player and I know they woudnt want to part with him as they prolly hope they still got chance to sign Dwight outright

but dude when ure getting best center in the game served on a silver plate...to be paired with best pg u just got :D....
u dont hesitate

There is no way they're trading Blake Griffin....

He has a more solid offensive game and he'll probably be as good as Dwight anyways in 2-3 years... Then you add the fact they'll probably give up DeAndre Jordan as well along with Eric Bledsoe. That isn't happening either.

Griffin is too young and too good to give up on. He is already a beast and has nowhere to go but up. There is no way they trade him.

griff is better offensive player ...but no way he will ever be as good as Dwight on defense...sorry..
...also griff is no center ...thats my logic...
Im not saying you cant win it all without a center...
but Most importand positions are PG and C
and they got chance to pair BEST PLAYERS IN THE NBA at PG and C( exactly as we wanted...)
+ you can show middle finger to Lakers fans xD

If they woudnt do it...their loss ...
imo kind of dumb

we are just talking here btw its not like actual thing will ever happen

I agree...If I was the Clippers I would trade Griff for Howard. Howard is go down as the superior player and no absolutely no history of injury. Blake's style of play will eventually backfire and he will get hurt a few times in his career. The only upside to keeping blake is age.

I know its all what if's. The lakers did well with a serviceable center as opposed to a superstar. Bynum is not a superstar center and they were damn good with that setup.

How about Dwight/Turk for Bynum/Pau and then give BOTH of them to OKC for Westbrick + Perk + Filler....

I do however think Dwight is better for a team than Blake, diwght has offense and defense. I just think in LA with what they are doing and how they have branded Blake and his attitude blake is better for them.

I also think they have a better shot at keeping blake long term than dwight. I think dwight is becoming a shaq who is going to bounce around looking for rings.
