I'll be more impressed when he does it against a good team.
He's got a long way to go, but looks decent now. He and Stockton will continue to take minutes from each other, unfortunately.

Stockton's not taking away minutes from KP, he's a great backup. Pangos is leading the team in scoring as a true freshman and has already been twice named the WCC POW.

Pangos will need to play the point to maximize his chances, 6-1 shooting guards do not make it. Mentioning the same thing twice doesn't make it more impressive either.

Gonzaga-Xavier will be an intriguing matchup.. and for Pangos.

But X may have a little extra fire now that they are finally back at home with a full lineuo -- first time since the brawl.

I would not be surprised to see Xavier win by 15-20 points.

Pangos is exclusively the point, fellow freshman, Gary Bell, the guy that beat out Tony Wroten for Washington state Player of the Year is the starting sg. Sometimes Few will go with a three guard lineup with Stockton, Pangos and Bell.

Xavier lost to Hawaii, I hardly doubt that they beat us by 15-20. I am interested to see how Pangos matches up with Tu Holloway though. Our bigs, Sacre, HArris and Dower should dominate theirs. The game will be on ESPN2 live at 8pm.

you're missing my point. you want me to call him a great player for averaging just under 15 points a game and 3.3 assists? I want to see him become a well rounded player before I do that. I'm not going to give him a break because he's Canadian... it's a good start though

3 assists doesn't impress me while taking 6 three-pointers a game. granted he is making a very nice percentage of them. my point is, facilitating offence is job one.

He's a true freshman leading arguably the best team in the west in scoring and has already been named the WCC Player of the Week twice and he hasn't shown you enough? Seriously? Perhaps you're expectations are just a wee bit too much for a kid that was playing high school ball in suburban Ontario less than a year ago. Perhaps perspective isn't your strong point?

it's been less than 2 months... let him do his thing and we'll see if he can do some damage in March. Then we can all worship his greatness

They are about even teams on a neutral floor. I am certainly not saying that Xavier is normally a 15-20 point better team.

But the emotional situation exists for momentum to really build this evening (pissed off players, first game back at home with a full lineup). That's why I am saying a big win could happen.

While your bigs are better, Tu and Lyons are going to dominate your guards just as much.

Gonzaga always schedules tough and doesn't duck teams in Nov and Dec, so their is plenty of games prior to March to get a read on him. (Although their schedule to date has been quite a bit weaker then normal, as they have been running into schools who are in a temporary down period this year)

But they still have to play the following prior to their conference tourney. So their will be many times to see him agianst good competition before March. And all of the teams below have good guard play
Xavier
BYU twice
St Mary''s twice

Gonzaga is a team that will most likely only play 1-3 games in the NCAA tourney, so March will not be the best team to read him

Don't be a douche, no one is "worshiping his greatness", we're just giving him credit for a great start to his freshman year.

Pangos just blew by Holloway to get to the rack for the foul; made both ft's. That was impressive.
