very eff. starting 5 numbers from DET.
Jonas Jerebko, F 2nd round pick. Nice.

Jonas beasted, DET was smart to lock him up.

Other 2nd rounders who have emerged as rotation from that draft:
33- Dante Cunningham
37 - DeJuan Blair
41 - Jodie Meeks
44- Chase Budinger
45 - Nick Calathes (Successful overseas)
53 - A. J. Price

Grunfeld sold our pick that year.

Can we please never mention that draft again. It just depresses me. It was such a wasted year of sucking. That is what makes this rebuild feel like it is longer then it is. We are in year two of what could have been year three and Wall's class wasn't that great. And I'm not even that excited about this next class yet.

That was a good draft class and we got nothing from it. It was a lot like this last class. People said it was weak but it really wasn't. It was good.

Since I never believed in the Gil, CB, AJ combo, I wanted to use the picks and start to move some of those players off the team. Should have keep Haywood and CB if anything and traded AJs expiring when they could have. Same with Gil. Oh well. Moving forward.

Maybe they can get some of those players as FA when they come available,

Minny finally gets a win tonight, but their other losses have been very close. Minny has been the only team that has come closest to beating Miami.

Didnt the Cats go to OT against the heat a few nights ago? But ya I agree Minny has looked pretty good. Kinda feels like all the young teams are improving except us :(

We're both right Zard, the Cats and Minny both almost beat Miami. Of-course Miami just completely smashed the Cats recently.

A good EG 2nd round pick up. In EG's defense of the non-Rubio pick, he had an elderly owner who wanted to win then & had already experienced Juan Carlos Navarro refusing to come over than (blessedly) not being that good for another team when he did. With that said, it still hurts a bit to watch Rubio bc he's so d*mn fun to watch & makes his teammates better.

Hawks take out the Heat on the road. McGrady drops 13 in the 4th quarter.

The wolves took out the spurs last night. Another solid night from Love (underrated). Tough break for the spurs. Manu out indefinitely with a broken hand.

Dominic McGuire with the start last night dropped 14/9/2 on 6/9 shooting - and singleton's better than DMac.

I would probably give Dmac the edge on rebounding for now he is a pretty-good rebounder for his size. I also would wager that most of DMac's points came from clean-ups.

Unlike Booker, I think Singleton will improve his shooting quite a bit and will be an overall better player than DMac. Booker will become a deep-bench player once Ves gets up--to-speed.

Hawks vs Bulls on NBA TV. The Hawks offense has been bad. They have only 35 points with 1:40 left in the half..... and they have a double digit lead.

This game has been so ugly it is like watching the Wizards play themselves.

Hello! Cleveland! 3-2 with the Irving/Sessions tag-team in the drivers seat. Irving's minutes are in the 20's, his high is 33 minutes.

Irving hit 8-10 shots in only 20 minutes. Looking at his advanced stats I was blown away. Per 36 minutes hes averaging 20.5 points and 8 assists with a per of 23.5. Absolutely beasting.

The Cavs are now 4-3, if they keep this up they could be looking at fighting for that 8th seed, that would really be a nice turn-around. If only if that hadn't drafted Tristan Thompson.

Tristan has been fairly respectable thus far really. He isn't dramatically lagging behind those players drafted around him or anything. He seems like an Ed Davis sort of entirely unsexy but also perfectly solid pick with some potential to be pretty decent considering how young he still is.
