He had one very good season at West Ham when Tevez got them out of relegation on the last day at OT. Other than that he's a pretty decent player to have in the squad and I think he's the least of Arsenal's worries at the moment, looking at how Arshavin and Rosicky have been playing.

Yeah, he's a fine squad player. Not really concerned about him as long as we're not counting on him to make a difference. There's a large number of regular players at the squad that need to go, imo. Rosicky, Chamakh, Arshavin, Squillaci, maybe Gerboue too. We need to bring in some creativity, class, toughness. I hope for a couple changes in January, let's see if it happends. Wenger seems genuinely disappointed in some of the players, so it might happen. fingers crossed.

Yeah, a quite sorry to Evra would have been nice but neither the team nor the player are humble enough to do that.

That goal surprised me. Thought the keeper had it for sure.

Now I wouldn't say Liverpool will throw this game to spite United but I wouldn't be surprised if they under-exert themselves a little.

Liverpool should be up but the story of their season is they can't put the ball in the net. Why Gerrard isn't starting is getting annoying.

He completely tore up Newcastle in the last 35 minutes of the last game. Charlie Adams is so shite!

Pretty soft pen, I thought.

Kompany is a beast, so is Joe Hart. Best at their position in the EPL.

Liverpool just don't have enough quality and depth. They essentially have an acceptable player at every position. So at full strength, you can field a starting 11 few people would object to. But the total product is lacking against the big boys. And unfortunately, they really overpaid for a few of their guys.

Btw, i didn't mean to say that Benayoun doesn't deserve to be at Arsenal. He's a fine squad player, as mentioned, especially at no cost.

It's just odd that he's made his way onto three of the biggest clubs in the world.

On a separate note, that FA report on the Suarez case is a fascinating read. It's like an anthropological study. I opened it thinking i'd give it a quick look. Ended up reading the whole thing.

No doubt Newcastle are good money for their lead right now. Ba is a monster. Not sure if Carrick has copies of the same photos that Darron Gibson has of Fergie, but how is he in the United team? Sideways passes and the most feeble attempts at tackling I have seen. Practically useless.

One other thing, I am astonished at how much time wasting Newcastle are getting away with. Every team slows down when they get the lead, but NU seem to be taking it to a new level here.

Wow, that was schoolboy. Atrocious, but then Man Utd have been poor all night long, just kind of sums it up.

That's 3 goals in 2 games down to not being able to defend the diagonal ball.

Without Vidic we cannot win a defensive header to save our lives.

I think Carrick is fine on his own. He's not much of a ball winner, as you said. But his passing is underrated. Quick, simple, and positive when the occasion allows. His defensive positioning is sound too.

What i have a problem with is the Carrick & Giggs pairing. There isn't enough steel there. Even when Park lines up on the outside of Giggs to cover for him. Then again, that's the set-up that got them to the Champions League Final last season so what do i know?

To be fair they just muscled us out of this game, pressed hard and were tougher physically.

I thought Carrick was fine, moved the ball quickly and got into the tempo of the game well. Tiote just simply broke up every decent pass our players tried. Too much steel in N'castle's midfield and back four.

Giggs, Welbeck, Park and Rooney just kept giving the ball away.

and did I mention Newcastle have played the same back 4 in all premier league games yet? That's a significant advantage.
