oh snap, if hes slated to go third than that pretty much goes the idea of grabbing both mkg and lamb

its either him or barnes that slate to go 3rd or 4th after the ADs, if a team like wizards is drafting in one of those spot, i see them targeting lamb or sullinger. Hornets however, might take barnes or sullinger but not lamb. Warriors might take barnes or sullinger. Detroit might take one of those 3. Charlotte might take barnes or lamb. I also see MKG going 6th or 7th with possible jump to 5th spot too. That's why if we're not drafting top 5. Our BPA options will clearly be MKG, PJ3 or Beal.

I'm all about all-star dynamic talent. To me after Anthony Davis and Andre Drummond, the players with all-star talent are Meyers Leonard and Perry Jones III

I've yet to see anyone make an argument about how Leonard doesn't have all-star talent or what separates him from a young Lamarcus Aldridge other than being white...

I love Lamb. (I love Lamp?) I see him being a 20ppg scorer in the NBA and having a great 3pt shooter is a big deal. His basketball IQ is phenomenal. His length gives him great defensive potential. I would take him over Barnes and MKG pretty easily despite Demar being a solid SG prospect, but I'm more sold on the idea of drafting one of Davis, Drummond or Leonard and going with a twin towers 7 footers approach with them and Valanciunas, and finally building from the inside out defensively. I think Lamb can between Eric Gordon and Kevin Martin but Leonard can be between Aldridge and Pau Gasol

It was a move - a shot off of a jab step. I'm just saying MKG isn't that handicap when it comes to creating his own offense off the dribble to get to the basket blowing by his initial defender. He's got decent breakdown ability when he takes two power dribbles with his massive strides.

I agree too, the way he takes his power dribble to the bucket is based off on his combination of quickness, aggressiveness and body control. When I see Demar doing that, he lacks quickness even when it has aggressiveness cos opponents could stop him if he isn't quick enough in that power dribble. A guy like Gerald Wallace his power dribbles comprised of those 3 elements. MKG though, needs to bulk up if he wants to successfully power dribble past the NBA-level defenders.

My only issue is that he relies on a spin move, much like our friend Mr. Derozan, and he has difficulty finishing in traffic.

That's the thing I worried most cos having MKG on our team will sacrifice some scoring, he will be the heart and soul of this team tho, and the best defender of the team from day 1, outhustle his opponent on the board and plays with toughness and intensity and he'll find open guys well. But then his lack of offensive repertoire is a concern. Whereas Barnes may provide us a 3rd legit offensive option heck even 2nd option. But nonetheless I'm still good with one of them on our team tho.

Shabazz just dropped 37 on another team in front of coach K and calipari in attendence. Just why oh why he's not in this year's draft :x (video in the link).

If Drummond, River and Qmiller stay, 2013 draft would look pretty good in top 5.

1. Drummond
2. Muhammad
3. River
4. Miller
5. Whoever explodes onto the scene (e.g. Kabongo)

I wonder if God loves us enough to award us the ability to select Shabazz Muhammad.

God is too busy helping Tim Tebow to care about the Raptors.

I haven't watched as much as some of the other people in this thread but I am a huge supporter of Lamb. I don't see how anyone can have him anywhere other than third right now. Then again, Givony list always has a ton of contributing factors other than where a player should be drafted.

Here is a recent video of Shabazz done by some of my peers:

Ron Holmes has done a great job with Shabazz's recruitment and will put him in situation where he can excel. Its unfortunate that he soured things with Sean Miller otherwise he would have been a great fit there (interestingly enough - he still lists Zona in his top 6 even though the relationship has ended).

MKG wouldn't even be close to being the best defender on any team in the nba from day 1.
I think you'd be very hard pressed to find any SF who has been an elite defensive player from his first game on. I'd love to hear some names.

I really dont understand your hype with Leonard. In my limited viewing of him, I didn't see an elite body that screams potential but average athletic ability and mediocre foot work. I'm sure there is much more to him than that, but I really dont get any glimpses that he has what it takes to be a star centre.

There are about 4-5 posters here including you now that are shaking their head on his obsession with Leonard. If we draft Leonard, we are doomed to failures and our tanking is wasted. I can imagine all the Toronto fans brutal reaction in the draft party when hearing about Leonards name on draft day. It would be ten times worst than the time Val was drafted (but Im a Val supporter after seeing his U19 and Eurobasket).

Perry Jones III off to a great start. Displaying that shooting touch...
