What's the bright side?

This thread is either:

a) an attempt to be funny but not really succeeding
b) an incomplete thought that needs finishing.

It's always been D'Antoni from my standpoint. The head coach is responsible for how his team plays, the effort, the focus, of maximizing talent, of developing where needed, of motivating, of teaching, of leading. The word "head" in head coach to me means he's the leader...but in our case it's more of a derogatory term of what fans have to be feel like he's forcing them to give him game in and game out. Hasn't changed for me one bit. I didnt' want him back then after seeing how little of the above he was able to offer, don't want him now.

you're clinging to an illusion. dumb players aren't coachable. a teacher is only as good as his students. these guys are underachieving because they never learned to play basketball the right way in the first place and it is pretty much too late to unlearn bad habits which were indulged in when they were dominant at lower levels of the game like in high school and college.

but in the nba unless you are shaq or wilt, you need to use your mind to succeed and our two soopastahs just aren't equipped. shaq learned to pass out of double teams and learned footwork from pete newell and he started winning by a mixture of craft or guile and physical dominance.

regardless this franchise is the essence of dysfunction and no doubt all involved are suffering from a losing culture which only feeds bad habits.

blaming d'antoni is sheer mob mentality.

why do you call out TKF all the time when you are the same way with Melo?

question is...why has it taken him this long to realize this?

Are not our problems both the players and the coach? Am I missing something here? A mob may want to burn down one thing to appease their lust for blood, but a fan could presumably make the statement they want to replace the coach while also believing there are issues with the personnel too. It is not a unilateral position as I see it.

Sham cant even say "Melo is on the Knicks now and Gallo isnt thats why" because all last year this dude was jabbing at Gallo and pitchin tents at the thought of Melo.

Knicks fans agree on one thing: Mike D'Antoni is an abysmal coach.

guys were missing shots and he was trying to be a hero. he has to learn to pick his spots better. people need to understand though, sometimes you want to iso melo. the idea that it should never happen is false. it's happening way too much that's for sure.

You know. This season and this trade is turning like my worst case scenario.

Denver is a far better team then we are.

We suck and won't make the playoffs.

The Heat are an unstoppable force and will most def win the title.

Boston is no longer a legit team.

But the most worrisome part is our team with Stat and Melo. We won't have any cap room for a while with the "big three" This team needs major face lift but we are handcuffed mainly because our only player that we would be willing to trade can't be trade (STAT).

As far as Stat goes. This is why you don't talk sh it. This man came in this season talking about how he grew 1 inch and how he is stronger and will dominate. The man had 6points in the first 5 mins of the game then managed to score 3 more after that.. Crazy.

yep. whatta joke that guy is. if you are gonna blindly support melo in everything he does, just admit you are a homer. tkf has admitted it about gallo.

lets put it this way, after melo's performance as a knick and our record compared to theirs after the trade, you HAVE to be a homer to be a melo fan.

i was about to say that dammit. guess what though, i don't hate gallo. i'd take him back now. i hate the obsession with him here though. people are acting like this validates him tonight. i guess they're gonna make him an all-star now. oh wait, they're not. he's a good player but not a great one and never will be. that's all.

hopefully he actually tries to act on this instead of making up another false claim just because it's what the fans want to hear

That can't be a real tweet.

It's a real tweet.

Dumb'toni should get fired just for this comment. It's obvious he doesn't know what the hell he's doing.

you're clinging to players that aren't even Knicks anymore.

A teacher is only as good as the student? Good god you just gave a bad rep to all great teachers out there...holy smokes.

And these guys never learned to play basketball the right way....let's take a look at that statement shall we...and it can go either way....

Stoudemire - HHHHHMMMMMM....guess who was his "teacher"? The wheel goes round and round and round, round and round, round and round...

Anthony - HMMMMMM...before the Knicks he managed to actually: 1) lead the Syracuse Orangemen to their 1st NCAA title, 2) turn around a putrid Nugget team in his rookie season and lead them to the playoffs every single since.

...do you want me to repeat that and explain in smaller words?

Here...and I'm going to use the knucklehead iman_shumperts argument style...see wheels spinning...Shaq had who on his team to pass to? Do you really, really, really, really want me to name them? But ok...forget about that...so what your'e saying is that because Melo and Stoudemire can't get crap to not be crap they should be crucified but D'Antoni shouldn't because he has crap? You're talking out of your rear and your mouth at the same time, just like ol' iman_shumpert did.

And a lost culture that breeds bad habits and yet a guy who's making more than $6 million a season to be the "head" of something (cause, you kknow, that "head' word in his title) is not responsible for that? Otay.

And how's the agenda going? Must have been hoping for a night like this haven't you?

Jorts is out and Lin and Jordan are in D-League. Davis not back. It's going to be a rough ride.

Return to New York Knicks
