Who cares what this (Please Use More Appropriate Word) thinks? He destroyed our franchise and now Dolan went and got his taller twin with a headband.

Everyone shut up about the Nuggets, this is the Knicks board... talk about Melo, Amar'e, Chandler, etc.. not Gallo and Turk, go to the player comparison board or the Nuggets board..

This is the post game thread about the Knicks.

I don't see how you can lose replacing D'Antoni now.

If Baron returns and can get healthy, I'd much rather have D'antoni as the coach than Woodson, or whoever else may replace him. That's why I would hesitate to get rid of him before then. Say what you will about D'antoni, but give him a solid point guard and offense won't be a problem. I don't see enough of an upside to firing him at this point in the season.

Tell me how you feel after we lose 10 in a row.

I don't see why I'd feel differently. We're still talking before we get our pg, right?

lebron has to win a ring to shut people up, and the knicks have to win a championship before people stop comparing records with the nuggets?

With or without Baron?

That's the prospect for pre-Baron right now

Who cares then. Honestly, I expect every game to be a loss without a real PG.

So what happens if Baron plays lights out, turns out to be our savior in leading us to some playoff victories, and then parlays that into earning one more decent payday from another team and spurning us in the process because we don't have enough money to resign him? I guess it's back to square one huh?

The franchise is in serious trouble if Stat and Melo need Baron to save them.

If they need Baron to save them? They're practically begging for him to save them.

Imagine that, two "superstars" needing a 32 year old PG with a herniated disc and history of injuries to save their team. That is just awful.

What's worse is that people are making threads and doing their prayers and awaiting the return of Davis, as if he is going to channel his inner Chris Paul and beast on everyone. People are best very unrealistic on this player and their expectations are too high for Baron. That's unfair to Davis and it's just setting up everyone for disappointment.

It really is sad that we're this dependent on Baron, but thats how it is when you have no PG. Still though you're right, this is pathetic. We should be able to get by with Chris Duhon considering how much Amare, Melo, and Tyson are getting paid. There is no need for a star PG, just somebody who can decently run an offense and a PnR. At the same time though that may not even be enough, which speaks to big problems.

Lack of point guard has really hurt team more then anything else it not shumpert fault he is not pg he 2 guard and toney douglas is the worst point guard i have seen in long time i have support this dude but man he is really ruining this team. Today i think it was in 4 quarter toney douglas took 2 stupid shots turn the ball over twice then harrington and the nuggets went on 7 nothing run and it changed game completly. I think if we had solid point guard like earl watson or dooling this team would be at least 10 and 6 or at worst 8 and 8. It wasn't just tonight it been while toney douglas has been struggling last night he bricked 8 shots row did nothing last night aginst bucks he is horrible.

If all we really need is a Duhon, then that is an indictment on Grunwald and the fact that he thought we could go into this season without any pure point guards on roster.

That said, it takes a strong personality to figure out how to divide the shots up between Stat and Melo, and I think Baron can be that guy. However, this will pose a problem for the Knicks in the long term if Baron is either too old, injured, or moves on to another team.

The thing that hurts the most about "The Trade" is not that Denver was able to pillage our roster for all our young talent but that they were smart enough to let us keep Tony Douglas.
Play time is over.

I've discussed the very scenario pictured in multiple threads. That picture typifies my utter disgust for him and all the "My bads" he offers will mean nothing until I see proof he's altered his game for the better of the team in the coming weeks. Completely foolish play.
