Henson looking good. Barnes aggressive. Marshall steering.

Beal is looking passive again. Firmly behind Lamb at SG IMO.

We should go Euro - Tomas Satoronsky with our second pick. Make him our athletic PG along with the wing we draft.

the wings in this draft sound alright but I keep thinking Drummond is the one to turn us around. The top teams in the east have been building their perimeters for years but it's come at the expense of their frontcourts. Like I don't even know off-hand who miami's center is

and chicago has noah but you could fall asleep while he's playing offence and still guard him, and Boozer is at 15ppg on 530 TS%. They're almost asking for it

and philly has igoudala/turner/holiday/young, but their best guy up front is... spencer hawes? They're asking for it too

and indy has hibbert and that crazy person up front. As far as I know hibbert doesn't score much and crazy person is annoying but you can outplay him

I got bored of this so, just saying I think we stand to make bigger net gains by taking drummond. If his upside is as accurate as his scouting reports read, a drummond/bargs/jonas frontcourt of destruction sounds a lot better going forward than...bargs/jonas and harrison barnes or whoever

I dont' think barnes or whoever gives us an overall advantage on the perimeter over elite eastern teams. Or even good eastern teams. I think it's near impossible with all the freaks running around the east.

Couldn't have said it better myself. If Drummond declares, we get #2, he's still on the board and we don't take him, I hope BC gets fired. He's definitely a chance worth taking. If we want SF's, I'd rather use our current assets to acquire one than to pass on Drummond. Big like these are just too rare to do that.

^Agreed. If Drummond is available where we pick (probably has to be top 2 unless for whatever reason his stock plummets), we have to take him. We can worry about the front court log jam later, but Bargs/Jonas/Drummond is a beastly front court.

In years past, I would not consider taking Drummond because I didn't trust our organization, coaching staff or leadership to break him but I think Casey might be a giant whisperer. We should factor that in.
