guess you don't value Victor Martinez all that much, because they lost him and gained Fielder. What's the diff?

About 2.6 wins (5.5 vs 2.9 WAR), that's the difference. Hardly inconsequential. But yeah, the Tigers are the only decent team in that division. The big blows this offseason were the Angels adding Pujols/Wilson and the Yankees adding Pineda/Kuroda. And neither team gave up anything tangible for 2012. The Red Sox also aren't done yet, and could easily add Oswalt or Jackson to their 3 current Cy Young candidates.

Yeah, the outlook's not so good.
