Don't you guys ever learn? EVER?

I hate when people start throwing out Hall of famers when comparing our players. Stop it already. STOP IT!

No wonder why other fans laugh at Knicks fans.

Call it whatever you want. Overreacting - delusion - premature projections- etc

I think Lin has a high ceiling- period. Everything about his journey points to it. My first "comparison-thought" after his game was a poor man's Steve Nash...

I haven't been this excited to watch a Knick game in a long time.

I thought they would easy him into the role maybe after two or three games, but it makes sense. He has the best PG skills of any of our combo guards, and it allows Shumpert to be the 6th man can relieve either Lin or Fields. Shumpert can also provide a scoring punch, like he did in the first game off the season. I just hope he doesn't get too shot happy. The Knicks need Lin to develop chemistry with the starting 5 as soon as possible, especially with the Davis setback. He may have to wait to develop chemistry with Amar'e, though.

I always thought most of the board agreed Shump was much more suited as a SG. And maybe coming off the bench would do him some good since recently he's been playing a little off.

I still think Shumpert can develop into a starting caliber PG in the NBA, but he certainly doesn't have the known how right now. The Shumpert from the beginning of the season (before he turned himself into Toney Douglas 2.0) could maybe start at PG, but not the Toney Jr version. I said earlier than Lin or Shumpert should be starting, but Shumpert seems like he wearing down and becoming less athletic with each game, and Lin is 100x better and knowing how to make the right decision on the pick-and-roll. Shumpert was good at penetrating and attacking, and then he stopped. Lin is one of the better PGs in the league at getting to the basket, off-the-dribble or off-the-threat-of-the-pick. His first step is mean too. He's also a more savy ball-handler than Shumpert. Iman (and Douglas) have good ball control, but aren't great at changing direction and speeds off the dribble. I thought Mardy Collins, also, was a very savy ball handler, despite having a lack of quickness.

I still wouldn't mind if NY brought Collins back. But I guess they need the vet leadership of players like Bibby and Davis, considering Douglas, Shumpert, and Lin are all young scoring guards. I think Lin and Collins could excel in this offense despite their outside shooting and average quickness. They both keep their dribble alive, unlike Douglas and Shump.

I'm excited to see Lin play, but this board might have the highest expectations for a 2nd year, non-drafted player ever. God forbid he has a bad game...there will be war :D

It's been a really, really long time since I've been this pumped for a Knicks regular-season game. The last time was probably when we finally got our chemistry last year and went on that long winning streak...

Kinda why I wouldn't start him just yet.

He picks up two quick fouls, then what? Don't wanna stifle his confidence.

Then again maybe Lin can handle it, and go out there and do the damn thing.

If anyone can perform a miracle it's Jeremy Lin. It's like I feel we won't lose another game now that Lin has control of the team, that's how good he is.

Yeah I'm pretty impartial as to whether or not he starts, just as long as he gets meaningful minutes.

Did you see the crowd screaming his name and how cool he looked. I would of mistaken him for a cucumber if cucumber's could cross people over and make And 1 layups. I don't see why anyone would be worried. You should be relieved that Toney Douglas minutes are about to evaporate.

Jeffries is starting. That was announced too.

Jeffries was great last game. I do know if he can replicate that type of game consistently. I wouldn't mind seeing Jerome Jordan or Steve Novak playing, seeing how Lin has good chemistry with them when they were on the "garbage time" squad together. As long as Jeffries doesn't shoot too many jumpers and concentrates on hitting the boards and defending, he'll make a fine replacement starter for NY.
