Ricky Rubio or Jeremy Lin?

Post#1 » by Knicksfan20 » Sat Feb 11, 2012 3:04 pm

Posted this question in the Linsanity thread after the Wizard game...and 3/4 people said Rubio and they wouldnt even think twice about it.

Now what? Rubio may be a better passer, but Lin has shown great passing abillity as well. Lin is also a much better finisher/scorer then Rubio is.

IDC..If Minny offers me Rubio for Lin straight up im telling them no...Even if its only been 4 games. Im ridin out with Lin baby.

So..Who would you rather have and why?

Lin is an unselfish combo guard. He's not an extraordinary passer like Rubio however he makes the right plays about 90% of the time. Its a toss up when you consider what Lin has done so far.

You call 20 games averaging 10/9 a proven career?

Rubio is just as proven as Lin is. What Lin is diong is nothing short of Lincredable. Thsi is no fluke, he has some serious game.

I think he meant his international career.

Very interesting matchup, I actually think it's pretty close. Lin is a better scorer while I'd give Rubio better courtvision, both are good defenders.

rubio has played pro ball outside the united states and was already a star. he has proven himself for a long time now.

lin is already journeyman who has been cut alot. lin in 4 games could be a fluke. we dont know.

I think he meant his international career.

You mean his career .374 fga, 6.5ppg, and 3.7apg in the Spanish League?

Or his .341fg, 5.5ppg, and 3.5apg in the Euroleague?

Seriously, folks, check his stats. He was if anything a novelty in the Euroloeague.

Rubio is no more proven than Lin. All this season proved is that he found a team with a system that works for him. The same could be said for Lin, though Lin has demonstrated far superior offensive game.

Rubio cant score. He is shooting 37% this season. I'm taking Lin even after a 4 game sample. He is a great finisher around the rim and a better midrange shooter then i thought. I also think he is a better penetrator then Rubio. I have seen about 5 of rubio's games this season..

And lets not forget...Lin hasnt played with a star yet. Rubio has had Love. Why dont you look up Rubio's stats without Love. I know he only had 1 or 2 assists against the Grizzlies without Love.

You must not be watching these games. He is not a Fluke.. He may not be a 30 ppg player, but this is not a fluke. He knows how to play the game and he is very good.

Seriously, check his Euroleague stats:

They're not all-star material by a long shot.

I think I would have to take Rubio just given his age and pedigree... but I will say this.. Ricky Rubio will probably never have a scoring game as good as Lin had last night in hi entire career. Lin can do things on the court that the basketball prodigy could never dream of doing.

Lin is a KNICK and will be one for a long time. We won't be getting Rubio for nothing short of Lin/Shumpert anyways so who cares? Lin all day baby.

What's the point of this? I don't get it...
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

You must have missed the memo on how these translate to American assists. It's over a zillion.
