Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part XI)
The sole reason I'd like JR Smith on this team is athleticism. He'll shoot a decent percentage as JJ and J-Rich. But those two guys can't play above the rim. Plus it makes JJ and J-Rich expendable to upgrade at SF or PG.

That and he is only 25.
Also agreed about JJ not helping us at all during the rebuilding phase, if you have to trade him to try to entice the most dominate player in the game right now to stay with us long term, you do it. Fan favorite or not.

What center should we sign in the offseason as a backup? (or possibly starter if dwight walks)
I thinking Asik wouldn't be a bad signing

If we get JR, J-ich is definitely going to be moved. If he keeps this play up, we can get something good. Plus his contract isn't bad and is easily movable.

Ellis on the bench in the final minutes of the Golden State game with Thompson playing? Hmm interesting...

Lol, I saw that, too. I just assumed he was injured or something, I just tuned in a few minutes ago....
The funny part is, they really could have used him on that last play.

Apparently they sat him the entire 4th quarter and he's not injured. Odd.

I'm telling you guys... Klay is making Ellis more and more expendable... let's latch onto Houston and ship Kevin to GS and acquire Ellis

Then we could get Nash as our primary backup.

that fat*ss needs to STFU... Ryan has been stepping up in almost every game and giving Howard some legit scoring help on a nightly basis... don't get mad at Ryan because your fat face sat him on the bench for 10 minutes in the 2nd quarter after he had hit 4 three pointers in a row in the 1st quarter... and now you expect him to get in a rhythm on the boards after sitting down for so long?... Stan, you're a great coach, but STFU please... let's not get into your horrible rotations in the 2nd and 3rd quarter shall we.

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part XI)
chris palmer just posted an espn IN article about how we should keep howard and trade for gordon. Personally i would love this as gordon doesn't seem interested in staying in NO.
