Yeah, unless I'm missing some sarcasm, he had it right the first time. Not the SJax part, which would be horrible, but Hedo was atrocious in Toronto while Calderon pounded the ball waiting for an opportunity for an assist.

Chandler visited Toronto on Tuesday and is talking to six other teams.

I would love him on the Magic!

i saw this. i think it comes down to who offers him the most money. he would be amazing to have on this team tho.

I think the Cavs have 7.1 to offer, Kings 9, Pacers 14.1. We have 4 mil I think with the MLE

We're still the better team than any of them, we'd probably give him the most time (at least Stan should give him the most), and, we're in a way better place than either of those teams.

SJax would not be horrible. especially if it keeps Dwight around.

How so? He's done, he's a bad player. Add to that he's made it abundantly clear this season that he will be disruptive if he doesn't like the role he is asked to play.

He said he wants to play for the Magic. Dwight said he wants to play with Jackson. And if Dwight does leave, we could only hope Jackson starts sucking so we get a great draft pick next season.

Yeah, no, I'm not convinced. That guy would increase the number of "WHAT THE F@#$%@G HELL WAS THAT??!!??!!??" posts on this board three-fold.

Of which I am eternally grateful. I've said it before, questions about Hedo are fully justified, but Stephen Jackson is not the answer to them.

It's not about the answers to this team. it's about trying to keep Dwight here. if he keeps him around and possibly brings Deron here than we HAVE to do it.

IF Dwight is gone - what would you guys like to see happen to the remaining roster?

Let's just ignore whatever return we get for now, and not predict that, but what would you like to see done with the rest of the team? keep them all? trade some? trade them all?

Davis
Anderson/Clark
Turk/Q
JRich/JJ
Nelson/Duhon

personally, i'd like to see Davis, JRich, Q and Du all shipped out immediately. i don't want any contract extending past the end of next season. but, i someone like JRich i wouldn't want to just throw away, because he can still be a decent player on a contending team, so i'd like to get some kind of decent youth player in return for him.

i'd wait to decide on whether or not we spend a lot to bring Anderson back. 22 games plus playoffs (hopefully) should be plenty of time to see what he's capable of doing without Dwight.

i'd like to hope that a team without Dwight will allow Nelson to step up and put up some massive numbers, so we can move him in the offseason for a decent, younger return. i respect what the guy has done for the team, but i don't think he has a place in a rebuilding team.

Thing is, you'd be going down the same slippery slope we went down in 09. Don't forget that Dwight and Hedo are buddies, too. Dwight was pissed when we let Hedo walk after the finals. In a vacuum it wasn't a terrible decision - Hedo hasn't lived up to the money he's getting paid - but we then bit the bullet and brought him back.

Shipping Hedo out again to bring in a different friend of Dwight's would probably just alienate Howard even more, unless it was the kind of move that screamed "instant contender". And Stephen Jackson does not scream "instant contender".

if you look at the recent runaway all-stars, you will notice bringing in friends/recruits never works. unless you bring lebron and bosh in of course.

lebron wanted mo, jamison ans shaq. he still bolted and cavs stuck with unhappy overpaid chuckers.

toronto signed jarrett jack, bosh's college roommate. they signed hedo to 55 mil.

the idea is an overstated myth. dwight may think we would win with sjax. but when that doesn't happen, don't think he would feel any responsibility when he leaves and we get stuck with dwight's friends.

Right, but, it gives us a bigger chance to resign him. even if we suck this year and the next, as long as we have Dwight under contract for 5 years, then we won't have to listen to who/what Dwight wants anymore. if Stephen Jackson/Hedo/BBD keep Dwight around, than bring 'em in. than once he commits, do whatever you want with them. because he won't have the leverage anymore.

Maybe we trade J-Rich for SJax and someone else from their team? :dontknow: it doesn't have to be Hedo if Dwight still wants him around.

you keep using if on key sentences. if those conditions were to occur, i would sign or trade for pretty much anyone - not just stephen jackson. :)
