Some of the assumptions on here are killing me. Of course you don't trade Hedo for Jackson if Dwight says to you I want Hedo over Stephen Jackson. If Dwight says to you, I want Stephen Jackson you say, OK, we got a deal in place for Turk for Jax, you cool? If he says no, try another player. If Ellis is available, or a better player if available that Dwight wants, trade for him over Jackson.

I'm gonna keep beating a dead horse but...we have to get monta to have a chance at..1. Dwight staying 2. Attracting more free agents 3. Competing 4. Being considered contenders 5. having a closer and a second star

So Idc if we do have to give up Anderson we need to get that second star

Can't help but feel Howard still just wants to leave. Regardless of what happens with the team. He's playing well but nothing seems to connect with him staying.

I'd love to be wrong.

There are only two people on this roster I'm not trading. Dwight and Wafer. I don't want to make a new sig so soon.

For example just look at the Knicks...they had a good thing going with just STAT but they gave it all up cause they didn't have a second star and now they have don't have enough time for all their players...that's what having two stars will do. Yeah we will prolly be bad at the beginning but still good enough for the playoffs but Players want to play with them. Of course u cant really explain Lin but u get the point.

new york signed jr smith. you can bet your ass they are gonna sign better players next off season. what happens then? you think they will noy be able to fill their roster with really good role players in time?

getting the star is where the game is at, the rest will happen in time.

They have enough players and plus players that want bigger roles than They would have in new york would sign here...including smith cause he might leave after this year

John Denton ‏ @JohnDenton555
More @ryananderson33 "We haven’t been playing that great and we’re still 3rd in the East, so we must be doing something right."

That's a different spin on it.

So why did JR Smith sign with NY again? He isn't starting (easily would had gotten the starting job in LAC), not making the most money he could had made for this year (either us or the Pacers could had given him much more than NY's offer), and he's not on a winning team (JR joined the team during that nice winning streak they had but the team was still under .500. Magic, Pacers, and Clippers are top 5 teams in there conferences.)

I was just wondering what was the main motivation for JR to actually choose the Knicks over everyone else? Just being home? Linsanity? Playing with Melo again?

J-Rich needs to kick rocks.....Too inconsistent and virtually brings nothing to the table that Redick can't emulate

“Keep your mouth shut and play basketball,” said Robertson, who was a guest on our radio show Wednesday and will be in town during All-Star Weekend to raise awareness for prostate cancer. ”If he wants to be traded, he’s going to be traded. Go and talk to the owners and say, ‘I want to be traded’ and keep it a secret.’ In a situation like this, he can’t win. … Anytime they (Magic) stumble and fall and every time they get beat, they’re going to blame Dwight Howard and it’s totally unfair because it’s not all his fault. I don’t think management has done a great job in keeping certain players on the team. They had a nucleus of players that got them to the Finals and then, all of the sudden, it’s gone downhill.”

Hmm Dwight sounds positive

Make no mistake, his trade request still stands, and the Mavs, Nets and Lakers still have permission to talk to his agent. But asked if there’s a future for him with the Magic, who had gotten back on track and entered the All-Star break as the Eastern Conference’s third-best team, Howard said, “It’s a big possibility. … It’s a big possibility.”

He had one last thought to consider. “Kobe (Bryant) asked to be traded, and looked what happened.”

Yeah that gives us hope at least.

"But asked if there’s a future for him with the Magic, who had gotten back on track and entered the All-Star break as the Eastern Conference’s third-best team, Howard said, “It’s a big possibility. … It’s a big possibility."

"“I was almost in tears just talking to them, because of the people,” Howard said. “I spent all summer thinking, ‘These people here love me.’ … Even times in the playoffs I was crying because I wanted to win so bad, because I could hear how loud the fans were."

And the one that gave me the most hope

"He had one last thought to consider. “Kobe (Bryant) asked to be traded, and looked what happened.”"
