He's been very inconsistent this year. I think they're basing they're placement on what scouts are saying right now.

They don't talk to scouts, they make up those discussions. Their same "scouts" had Valanciunas going in the late first-round for most of the year or as a "lock" to stay for the 2012 draft.

I don't trust that cite for good judgement on what's really going on in the draft. Draftexpress is much better, and much more in depth. But I think Miller's going to stay back this season, just like PJ3 did last season.

Great article, thanks for that. He kind of reminds me of Chris Bosh in the sense that he doesn't want basketball define who he is.

As one his few fans on this board, I'm really pulling for him to go beast mode in March and shut up the haters. Maybe once he's drafted and is able to support his family, he can relax, just ball and let talent take over. Could be the steal of the draft is he falls below six.

Agreed. The media has been hard on him, although I don't think GM's let him get past 5.

That's some deep sh*t. I feel so so so sorry for that guy. I haven't been through all of that but still it must be really tough. But if anything, Jones should turn all of that into motivation. Motivation to hit the gym, motivation to work hard, motivation to rebound, be physical etc. Prove doubters that he has the drive and talent to be something great. He definitely has the tools. It's just about his motor and his desire. When he makes his millions (which he eventually will) he can fix all or most of those problems but for the next few months he is going to need to focus every fiber in his body into making the best showing he can. For himself, for his team and for Baylor. It's the only way out for him

Anyone who calls Perry Jones "soft" is out of their mind. If you want to talk about capability of getting an NBA GM fired look at Andre Drummond.

Perry Jones is soft. And then, Andre Drummond is softer. Wait, that didn't come out right, it kind of reminds me of the quoted sig I have right now.

Not entirely sure about his pro potential but he's been the best player for the Wolverines this year. Easily one of the 5 best freshmen in the country.

Obviously thats what Wolverine nation wants. They have a good recruiting class next year and could make that national run with Burke leading the charge.

Kid is going relatively unnoticed right on draftboards which is they way I want it if we manage to secure another pick. Kid will be a lotto lock if he stays another year and possibly out of our reach.

PJ3 is Bosh-soft. Drummond is Odom-circa 2011-2012 soft.

Our second round pick is high enough I believe. And we probably need to trade someone to make room for him if true.

for Burke, assuming he declares? I doubt it... pretty sure he would still go in the first round due to the dearth of point guards

So you watch AD highlights and the only thing you can think of posting on a basketball message board has to do with his looks? LOL, wow.

I'm probably late to this, but when did DX move Barnes down to 6?

Their new top 10:

1. Davis
2. Drummond
3. MKG
4. Robinson
5. Sullinger
6. Barnes
7. PJ3
8. Henson
9. Zeller
10. Beal

DX kind of lost their love for Barnes after his slow start last season so I'm not surprised to see him outside of the top 5 on their board.

Personally, I'm not really feeling their top 10 all that much.

Davis
Drummond/Barnes
Barnes/Drummond
MKG
Beal/Lamb
Lamb/Beal
Robinson
PJ3
Sullinger
Rivers/Miller

^^ Wow Lamb isn't even in the top 10? With the way some people talk about him here you'd think he is a top 5 talent.

I think many of the people here are just ignoring all the PF prospects (aside from Davis, who is too awesome to ignore) and focusing on the wings.

There are some good PF prospects but man, they are mostly undersized guys and that seem to have low ceilings.

Probably the team's struggle has an effect? He was 3rd or 4th during the time when the team was ranking 5th or 6th :-?
