My draft board:
1) Anthony Davis - he can be as good as KG
2) Andre Drummond - too much upside that I can ignore the heart issue
3) MKG - all around player with winner mentality, leadership, and heart
4) Bradley Beal - pretty all around player, but slightly undersize
5) Harrison Barnes - perfect body for a NBA SF. He looks more like a Luol Deng type of player
6) Thomas Robinson - great talent with improved skills
7) John Henson - very good defensive player in the Camby mode
8) Perry Jones - a lot of upside, questionable leadership, mental toughness, but apparently, he's a good kid and been through a tough few years (read the ESPN article)
9) Jared Sullinger - a solid player with limited upside, but a character guy, team player, hard worker
10) Meyers Leonard - at 7 ft with solid physical gifts and developing skills
11) Jeremy Lamb - high potential, but his character, the losing UConn team, and the bad body language (immature) are all red flags that dropped him on my board
12) Quincy Miller - hadn't been consistent, but high talent none-the-less

I think Myck Kabongo should return for a 2nd season and further develop his PG game. If he is coming out though, I would consider taking him over Lamb or Miller mainly because he's a local product with high upside.

Guys that I like and maybe available in late 1st round:
Tony Mitchell - I like this kid more than Lamb and Miller but he plays in a small conference, so it's hard to evaluate him, but he has been playing well as a freshman
Tony Wroten - this kid is like a Tyreke Evans clone
Evan Fournier - similar to Rudy Fernandez, can potentially be like Ginobili. I would definitely use a late 1st on him and leave him in Europe for a year or two
Rudy Gobert - reminds me of Bargnani. I would definitely use a late 1st on him and leave him in Europe for a year or two
Moe Harkless - solid SF with potential
Furkan Aldemir - another Euro player that can leave oversea for development. Would take him with a 2nd round pick.
CJ Leslie - a lot of potential, but yet to develop his skill, would consider taking with a 2nd round pick
Tim Hardaway Jr - solid guard in college, would consider taking with a 2nd round pick
Scott Machado - apparently, the best passer in the NCAA, he could be like JJ Barea and be a solid backup.

It feels like this draft has a #1 pick and about 10 #5 picks. Looks weak for a write in 2nd or 3rd, but it's a great draft to be picking 7-12 where I think teams are going to pick up a Sullinger, PJIII, J Lamb, etc.

Why do you think Robinson is doomed by his dimensions? He is 6'10" with shoes which is your standard PF height. Does he have T-Rex arm syndrome?

This draft and last yrs are really going to hurt a few GMS and it easily could've went downhill for us really fast. But if we come away with JV + HB in back to back weak draft classes i'd be really thrilled.

I don't buy summer camp w/shoes measurements and he looks south of 6'8, like Sullinger, and both of those guys rely heavily on a size/strength advantage. I just don't see what will translate or how they could play at a net positive against quality bigs, even if you catered to them. Length is not the problem.

I think TRob's size will be fine. My issue is whether he's a skilled and has offensive instincts enough to be a high end offensively player, or if he's just beasting because of his age

I prefer Arnett Moultrie

I would say discounting Davis, the most talented players to me are PJIII, Leonard, and J Lamb (More of a "natural"/skill talent level than physical like the other two). Especially in our position I'd go with the most talented player available

I think Quincy Miller has loads of talent, maybe the most. There are some legit concerns but the talent is there.

Miller and Lamb are really getting slept on. I can't believe it. Miller's been in consistent but is still talented...but Lamb? Only because his team's not winning. But he's still a good talent.

I hope BC's looking into moving down in the draft because this one looks like its gonna be all about fit after the Top 3 (Davis, Barnes and Drummond) are off the board

This draft can go any way really...besides Zeller and Henson, almost everyone can make a solid case for Top 10. If Lamb and/or Miller are available late, trading down while grabbing other assets might be the best way to go.

Btw, if we get a late first I'd love to take a look at the following players:
Doron Lamb
Tony Wroten
Myck Kabongo
LeBryan Nash
Arnett Moultrie
Damian Liliard
Dion Waiters (sounds interesting)

All of these players look like they could be really, really good. Lamb looks like the "safest" pick down there for me. He can shoot it really well and can play a little point and has decent handles. Looks like he could be a Afflalo type player in the NBA and that's pretty solid value IMO.

Wroten and Kabongo look like they're either be really good or really bad. Especially Wroten.

I like Nash and with some seasoning and improved 3pt shot, he could be a really good player. I think it's in his best interest to stay another year.

Let's see, we're 5th worst right now, and could probably end up as high as 4th or perhaps even 3rd, with some luck. Right now, there's about six players I'd love to have on this team. In order

Anthony Davis
Andre Drummond
MKG
Harrison Barnes
Jeremy Lamb
Bradley Beal

So I think we're sitting in a pretty good spot if all those guys decide to come out. We should be able to add a solid piece, and if we're really fortunate with those lottery balls, Anthony Davis could be ours. And even after all those top guys, if we slip a bit, we can't totally discount Robinson/Sullinger/PJ3/Henson/Moultrie despite the glut of 4s we currently possess.

I'm also still hoping we're able to grab a 2nd first-rounder though and add that young PG that we've been seeking, as there seems to be a glut of them possibly available like Wroten/Taylor, and perhaps even my preferred PG, Kendall Marshall, in the possibility he drops a bit.

So in summary, as it stands a few days until the Madness starts to take hold, there's reason to be optimistic, I just hope our scouting staff is doing its work and BC's able to nail it. No question we need this pick to be a success.

I'm pretty confident that we'll get a good wing player from our pick. It seems that Barnes, Lamb, Beal, and MKG are basically on the same level, with the first three fitting our team with their shooting ability and the last with his on-court mentality.

Lamb/DD/JJ/Kleiza is a nice wing rotation right away. ditto goes for the other combinations, with MKG creating more need for a Wilson Chandler signing.

I am expecting some surprise and make us drop 1 slot. As for it stands, we are 5th, but might end up at 6th or worst 7th. Then assume Bargnani comes back and we drop one or two, we might end up at 7th or 8th. Still we should have Beal or Lamb or Miller at that moment.

Yeah, that's the good part about this draft, it's perfect. Aside from obvious choice@1st, we still end up with a good wing at worst. I'm actually glad there's T-Rob and Sully in between that put us in position for Lamb or Beal

I'm thinking Sacramento could help us out, here. They need a good-guy PF. NO could use one of their picks on one. A better team who trades for a pick or trades up could also be a candidate if TR and JS are seen as NBA-ready. Maybe Indiana. Somebody could really like Leonard, too, or PJ3.
