I think an ideal fit would be JSmoov....with prob Iggy close behind.

A team of

Monta
JRich/JJ
JSmoov/Iggy
?
Dwight

would be pretty nasty. Got your scorer, your shooter, your wing defender, your rebounders and interior defenders.

The reality, though is that we may have to give up Ryan to obtain a guy like Ellis. Also, what do you think JSmoov/Iggy would command in the first year or their next contracts? Somewhere in the range of $11-$13mil a year? Is it financially feasible to have enough caproom in 2013 to sign one of those guys if they opt out? Other suggestions/moves?

If we get Ellis and Dwight stays, Josh Smith is on the top of my list of players to get if Ryno is moved for Ellis. If Ryno is still here with Ellis and D12, need to get a wing defender.

Ariza or Iggy would be on my wishlist. Both are good defenders and solid scorers. They also seem like team-first guys. Josh Smith's talents are amazing but his mentality scares me.

He's been boys with D12 since elementary school, I'm sure if Josh came here, Dwight would keep him in check.

I really haven't watched Ariza play since he was traded from Orlando. Is he a good defender ? Could he guard Wade, Kobe, LBJ, Melo, Durant, PP34 ?

I don't doubt that; but his immaturity can also bring down D12; especially if he's bumping heads with coach.

Defense is one of Ariza's finer aspects of his game nowadays. He played some pretty good D on Kobe in last year's playoffs and I think he'll be the most realistic player we can acquire (if we have the capspace) in 2013. Also he'll come a lot cheaper than Iggy/J. Smith and can be that gritty defender we need that doesn't need to worry about scoring unless prompted.

Yea, I get Sessions isn't a big name. I expected some backlash. Bottom line, Sessions can run an offense. He will set up Dwight and the shooters. Maybe not as well as a superstar PG would, but he is the best we can do. And it would be the best thing for our offense. If we need some 1-on-1 chucking...can't we find some random chucker in the league that makes terrible shots in bunches? Dear lord maybe we can get Pargo....maybe if he is on the Magic and sees the Magic jerseys all around him, he'll light it up every night.

There's been a lot of speculation that New Orleans wants to trade Ariza's contract, since they consider it bloated. Perhaps if we were to swing some kind of 3-way Kaman trade, he could get sent here? I'm talking about obataining a legit #3 though.....ala Iggy/JSmoov. Would be close salary-wise to being able to get another $10mil/yr type guy next summer...and a lot would depend on what players left/came in with Ellis, etc.

Regardless of who we have at PF, I think Ariza is a nyce fit. Perfect 3rd option glue guy that does the little things. And given his experience since he left LAL, he's developed his offensive game.

Embarrassing. If Dwight does leave, I hope he comes out and blames it on that video.

What is this that you speak of?

You would think that our home town writers would do everything to keep the big guy, yet they seem to be trying to run him out of town like Shaq... All for a few extra views and comments... smh

This is an idea I had back in Feb. in using the Hornets as a trade partner in a 3 team deal that gets us Monta.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=7jqwzcg

That would be a rough blueprint of a potential deal imo

Wow.. I couldn't make it through the whole Dwight one; but I couldn't watch the Cleveland one for longer than 20 seconds!
