Does GSW say no? Do we need to include a pick swap perhaps?

Depends. Does GS hate the Biedrins contract more than they like Curry? i don't think that offer has enough value for them, and I don't really think there's enough incentive for them to deal him right now, especially with his ankle issues. They're better off waiting to see if he can make a full recovery, especially since he'll be an RFA next summer.
On that same note, we're probably better off playing the wait-and-see game with Curry as well. If GS either doesn't have the money, or is reluctant to offer him a big contract, we can use the cap space we'll hopefully have in 2013, and put in an offer the Warriors can't (or won't) match.

Of course GS says no to that deal as is. I'm not even sure a pick swap does it. I doubt GS looks at moving him unless he decides he's not coming back or asks to be traded. They'd better off moving Ellis if they're trying to rebuild.

Curry managed to injure the same ankle again last night. Almost all the players in trade idea have had significant injury time already in their careers.

Tks for the feedback. I think waiting till 2013 might be the way to go and let Jose expire as a Raptor.

Yup that's the way it's looking. Unless of course a trade happens but I doubt it. Outside of DeMar and Ed, I can't see any pieces that GS would be interested in. I don't think we'd move DeRozan for him and obviously Ed alone doesn't get done. And that's if GS is willing to move him or if they don't re-sign him.
Jennings I think is a good option as well though I would rather trade for him and Milwaukee would likely rather that too instead of letting him walk for nothing. Maybe he could be re-signed to a cheaper deal than Curry too.

I'd rather not. I like Rondo but I don't think he makes sense here. Besides, Calderon expires in 2013 when Curry and Jennings are RFAs. I think I'd prefer to check them out. Nothing against Rondo though.

GS would most likey asfor a pick as well to complete a trade involving Curry.
Rondo would look great with Jonas

2013 will see Jennings, Curry, Collison, Holiday, Lawson, and Teague all hit restricted free agency.
BC, Stefanski, and Casey will have some decisions to make. We should have the money to make a big play at at least one of these guys.
I think all of us will have our personal preferences between all of these players, and certainly they all differ in terms of talent/skill levels, and each have their respective strengths and weaknesses. The key will be finding the perfect fit with our system and players as we project our team going forward,
and after next season, we should have a much clearer idea of who to we'll want to run our team.
Until then though, I think we should sit tight on making a move for a PG, unless of course we're able to steal someone like Rondo away for relatively cheap.

Like the deal. Great risk reward from Raps perspective. Don't know if Wolves take the deal.

Calderon, Davis and 2013 pick for Jennings, Stephen Jackson? Decent trade both ways I think.

Why would we trade both Davis and our 2013 pick for a guy who's already said he's looking forward to free agency and looking at bigger markets?
If we like him, we can just throw money at him next off-season when he's a RFA.
If we're going to take a chance on a 2 year deal with Nash, I wouldn't mind trying to nab Kendall Marshall with a mid 1st. Maybe offer Davis for his rights? I think Nash would be a great mentor for him.

That's what I am kinda thinking myself. Jennings looks like a good scoring point at times like a poorman's Kenny Smith but I don't think I would move that much for him considering he would want to possibly leave us.
I think this is going to be a quiet deadline for Toronto and The NBA

That's possibly the worst trade I've ever seen. Why would we give up arguably the best player involved, a decent young big, AND a future first (which will likely be pretty goddamned high) for Brandon Jennings and a washed up, whiny Stephen Jackson?

Re: 2011-12 Toronto Raptors Trade Ideas Thread Pt IV
I wouldn't mind dealing for Jennings but at the draft is the best time. If the DeRozan-Jennings pairing doesn't work here, I'm sure there will be team interested in them. That way, we don't mess up the tank.
So if a deal does happen, I'm not sending future picks. A 2012 pick swap is the most Milwaukee should get. Plus Ed and Bayless and maybe a late first if we can get one from Barbosa or Calderon. We'd have DeRozan and Jennings for a year to see how it works and if it doesn't, we make moves from there.

Personally I'm NOT down with swapping picks with MIL to get Jennings.
We can just go after him when he becomes a FA next year (if he loves TO like he claims and DeMar is an emotional hook then he'll consider it) or pursue him at next year's deadline for probably much less as the Bucks will be much more desperate to get some type of asset for him. Our pick is looking to be 5-8th where as MIL's is 12-15th. That could actually make a big difference. As 5-8 and I believe we can atleast get Beal or Lamb...12-15 and we are picking a guy that doesn't really fulfill any need on this roster AND we just pretty much guaranteed an extra $20mill/yr to be locked in between Jennings and DeRozan.
