In Stern's mind this is his NBA, he wasn't too happy how lockout negotiations went, and not too happy at all the power and leverage players and agents seem to be gaining. If this goes down, and NJ is found guilty, then I see fire and brimstone from Stern levied on Jersey

If the Nets owner AND GM met with Dwight before permission was granted, it's clear tampering and the penalties would be harsh -- they won't get Dwight and you guys may end up with a pick or more.

Yea. You gotta think that there's a price where he can be brought in. Everyone but Dwight is available. Anderson, J.J., picks. Maybe even risk the 2013 pick. Even if Dwight leaves and we bring in a top pick in 2013 which we lose to the Hawks, we'd still suck in 2014 and can bring in another top pick. Might as well roll the dice some more and bring in Josh Smith.

I wonder if NOH would be back in play involving Kaman with a similar trade of how we were going to get Monta? ATL has been looking for a legit C to move Horford to the 4 spot. I would think something very similar of the GSW 3-way might work...Ryan and JJ to the Hornets, Kaman to the Hawks, Jsmoov to the Magic (with a couple other pieces prob needed to make it work). I just think the Hawks would do absolutely everything in their power to not have us keep Dwight (similar to GSW since they want to rent him, PLUS they are inter-division rivals). Maybe we could do a lil hush-hush 3 way where we get NOH to swap Kaman for him and then we agree behind closed doors with NOH to send him to us hehe.

opted not creating a huge conflict before exhausting all other options. It is not good for anybody if nets are to be charged with tampering.

Just a cap of the video. I am for sure reading too much in it but the body language from Dwight in the clip just looks "defeated" or "sad". Not what I would expect after such a huge win.
