bynum is a good piece but he will just delay our rebuild. nobody can replace what dwight brought to this team on the offense AND defensive end. use the lakers to bid up the nets offer

Nets' offer is "much improved" from their initial offering, according to sources.

Depending on the TBA player, I'd probably take that. I much prefer Bynum over Lopez. Walton sucks and has a 7.5% trade kicker according to Shamsports, but next year is the final year of his deal.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Nets, however, are unsure if talks will happen as the Magic are said to have shown reluctance to answer calls.

I've been emotionless for the 3 or 4 hours, scouring the internet for Magic info. This made me chuckle.

According to every CBA analysis/documentation I've read on the new CBA, as well as tons of articles detailing this, the new CBA allows for sign-and-trades ONLY in the first 2 years (after then they aren't allowed), and that those sign-and-trade agreements are limited to 4 year, 4.5% max raises, which is the same as simply signing on a new team outright.

My apologies then, I stand completely corrected.

Be real, He will be on the Nets soon, and I'm disgusted with that.

Why did we miss so much time because of the CBA? They should have just left everything how it was, the CBA did absolutely nothing.

Hopefully it's better than the Lopez, Wallace, and 2 picks, trade they tried to do earlier.... and I'd check with the Lakers first before I trade with the Nets.

CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE PUT A STICKY OF THIS ON THE TOP OF THE PAGE OR SOMETHING????

While this is true, there still can be advantages to a sign and trade for the player, in that it allows the new team to maintain cap space by shipping contracts to a player's former team. So a sign and trade is not impossible.

That's true, but NJ basically has expirings anyways. They prob won't give us Brooks/Lopez at that point since the risk of us trading him to somebody else would be gone, and those would be part of the attractiveness to Dwight of going to Brooklyn to play with them.

But isn't Blake going to Portland?

Maybe thats why the deal didn't go official yet....

I say we trade him to Charlotte. Take back a couple of young up and comers plus an expiring contract, and he can spend the rest of the season trying to get to ten wins.

Of course Charlotte would never do it, but I can dream...
