at this stage, I'd be giddy and exuberant if the raptors drafted davis, gilchrist or lamb.
anyone else, i'd be pretty indifferent with some being worse than others.

As I mentioned in the opening post: about the poll, I haven't been following the draft much, so I asked someone for his top 10 and I used it. I couldn't tell you who is good or not among that list.

anthony davis is the most overrated player i have ever seen.. sure the guy is an amazing shot blocker with great athleticism but he has no offence.. the guy is anorexic and hes gonna get bullied in the nba in the post.. he's gonna turn out to be the next marcus camby watch.. he has star potential but who knows if he can develop an offensive game

They said the same thing about Bosh, to skinny, is no offensive, he is gone take 5 years to develope... Well Davis is already much bigger then KG and Bosh when they entered the league, defensively he is way ahead of them both and offensively he is way ahead of KG and probably on the same level as Bosh when he entered the league.

As much as I see him not attacking the basket much at all (that is a glaring red-flag in the NBA), I still see him incredibly good enough to run through multiple screens a la Rich-Ham style to get points off. When he iso, I hope to see him not shakes off and just settle for a jumpshot, he should utilize more hesitation moves to drive by and goes for tear-drops or floater. He's just so lengthy that I think his floater is unguardable. I also don't see him as a top 5 SG in the NBA but definitely got some multiple all-star potential like Rich-Ham. The more I watch him the more I see Rich-Ham's upside.
Drummond on the other hand, I don't give a rat ass about him at all. Let other idiots take him.
Yeah, I saw that too. Lamb got looked off a few times after curling off a pinned down to the wing. He didn't get that many chances to iso today, but when he did, I liked what I saw. He had like two plays where he showed off his floater/tear drop and it was straight butter. Drummond passed the ball out from the restricted area to Lamb at the free-throw line after being collapsed on by two defenders, and Lamb put the ball on the floor for a floater that was nothing but net. And the other baseline tear drop over his right shoulder was smooth too. I just didn't really understand why Lamb kept picking up his dribble and reset the offense back to Napier up top. Only once Lamb had enough of Napier's **** and decided to drive which he drew contact of course.
Oh, did anyone see one of UConn's assistant coaches face palming after Andre Drummond missed a point blank lay-up
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

The potential is definitely there, but it needs to be harnessed and its something that could be a difficult challenge.
On the other hand, Jeremy Lamb is going to be a star.
Drummond ceiling JaVale Mcgee/Andre Jordan... he got zero skills and zero bbiq
Although it's hard to label a ceiling of players that have yet to reach their potential. Both McGee and Jordon are still considered to be "potential" guys.

Have you seen the last 10 games? I'm pretty sure you don't watch any games or watches too little, ballboy. But he's gradually getting more touches in the paint, he has improved on his turn around jump hook, taking more jump shots around the key area and showing some improving pivot moves. His offense will come around, give him time. He's just starting to learn the big man game in past 2 years, he's showing incredible learning curve in the post defensively, so what makes one thinks his offense will be severely limited or fixated. Consider he's learning this fast in two years is already an optimistic sign. With his high bbiq, I'm sure he can develop an offensive skillset that's needed for his NBA career. Someone who played as a point guard all his life shouldn't be limited offensively, his jump shot will improve and becomes one of his primary offensive weapons.

AD was a top recruit point guard before he grew another 8 inches and he's only shown a glimpse of his game so far. The guy can shoot it from the mid range, face up in the post, and has good instincts when he's driving. Not to mention his ball handling is pretty good too, he was a point guard damn you, he's an elite prospect and he will pan out I guarantee it.

First off, Davis was selected to play POINT GUARD at a Division 1 level BEFORE his growth spurt, while it may been a small school NO Division 1 school takes a kid who plays like "Marcus Camby" to be their PG. Before you can make another dumb comment feel free to try and start at any D1 school then talk...but second to that:
Find me ANY footage EVER of Camby where he displayed this offensive skill....when you fail to do so, do us all a favor and stop posting.

I won't say far behind, he's shown flashes of offense so he still has potential on offense, how old is he? 19? He's still a freshman, he's not even a rookie in the NBA yet. You honestly think he won't develop any offense in the next 3 years? Like I said, he's shown offensive display in last ten games so it's not like he's reluctant to improve offensively. Once he goes to the nba, he will have big man coaches privately teach him all the offensive moves. With his length, quickness, understanding of big man's fundamentals, and work ethic, it's hard to see him not working hard to develop an offense. It's raw right now but not entirely limited, also he's not a poor jump shooter. I have to repeat this again to you, he's got a decent elevation on that jump-shot with proper release form, unlike jump shot you see from Drummond, or Camby or Dwight, that jump shot is going to improve in the NBA, and it's going to help him score alot of points. Also, his jump hooks should improve and become unguardable because its release is very high especially due to his long frame.

What potential to not be projected to where he's supposed to be? What are you babbling about? He's only got potential to be exactly what he will be, a defensive game-changer with improving offensive skillsets, kenny.
